Have USB controllers added to extensions
if you check the OP, we rejected wiimotes
it would be too complicated with stuff like the sensor bar and it doesn't connect to pc via Bluetooth or a wire.
we are keeping controllers that have a normal layout, like the gamecube

Not meaning to be rude, but I'm not Google..(#1784)How am I supposed to connect my Wii Remote to the computer? Also I live in Australia.Cool idea, but why not just connect a Wiimote to your computer or something? There's got to be something to let you do that already. Besides, Scratch on consoles is For some reason when you mentioned the Wii Remote I was imagining coding on the Wii, where you point the pointer at a block and grab it and move it. I wonder how that would feel… rejected.2.7 Scratch for video game consolesAnd, Nintendo of America also are no longer able to physically distribute Wii video games in that region because some of its departments no longer had the ability to retrieve the necessary equipment to do so. (source: wikipedia)
The Scratch Team does not have the resources to put a Scratch editor onto a video game console. This includes making a Scratch editor for Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Xbox, and Playstation consoles.
However, the ability to connect gaming controllers to a computer or tablet to use for Scratch is NOT rejected. You can discuss it on this topic.
But if you're suggesting adding Wiimote functionality to PC, that's a whole different thing. That isn't rejected, as far as I know. Might feel a little clunky, but still fun.
Just go look it up. Also, I don't live in America either, it's just that that lowers the chances of a Wii release, because MIT are American.

They might work really well with an 8Bitdo.

Looked it up, cool stuff, but I think we're looking at first-party, unless I'm wrong. They might work really well with an 8Bitdo.

We have these USB sticks for them.Looked it up, cool stuff, but I think we're looking at first-party, unless I'm wrong. They might work really well with an 8Bitdo.
EDIT: Actually first party (console?) controllers contain: Xbox controllers (the newer ones, not the ones that came from the 2000s'), Nintendo Switch controllers (they are jam-packed full of features, so probably not likely) PlayStation(3?) (NOT LIKELY AT ALL)
ALSO EDIT: The list will increase over time.

8bitdo will work if it can connect via usb or bluetooth
the ps3 will work if you plug it into your pc
the nintendo switch joycons will work (you may not be able to use 2 joycons as one controller)
xbox 360 and up should work
EDIT: if it can connect to a computer it will work, if you want to know if your controller works simply google “HTML gamepad tester” if it works there it should work here

Maybe switch joycons? And every PlayStation controller that can be wired to a computer, iPad, or phone (the buttons are the same, only the shape changed). And every generic controllerWe have these USB sticks for them.Looked it up, cool stuff, but I think we're looking at first-party, unless I'm wrong. They might work really well with an 8Bitdo.

100% full support. This would be so cool, especially with the Rumble feature! With the new trending ScratchStation project here, I think it would be great to use a controller with.

Of course, they function like first party, it's just we'll probably want first party. More reliable and common.3rd party will work fineLooked it up, cool stuff, but I think we're looking at first-party, unless I'm wrong. They might work really well with an 8Bitdo.

Support. I think it would be necessary for those who like using controllers. But I think Scratch should focus on mobile touch more.
