It's sad that this topic is inactive It's a good idea
It’s active now, I guess some people were around other parts of Scratch.

(#1399)
I support this, but different game controllers can be connected to different things, the only problem is that scratch might only be able to support one type of controller
It doesn't matter how the controller connects to your computer. The Scratch website has no way of knowing and won't even care. As long as it connects to your computer in any way, it will work for input.
well we dont know if scratch could maybe if they add this they will add a way to check

Most computers don't have any port to put in the cord for a game console or controller, so we would have to change every computer to have that, or it would only work on new models with console ports if we made those. It would also only be compatible with the newest model of consoles, as, for example, a WiiMote has different buttons than a Switch controller.

PS4, Xbox One, and Switch Pro Controllers all work via USB wires.
As for older controllers (Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360), all of those consoles are discontinued and more than 10 years old (PS3 in 2006, 360 in 2005, Wii U in 2012).
As for Wii remotes, there's a seperate topic for that.

And there's even ways to connect PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U (sorta for the Wii U GamePad, you need something called Moonlight)!bruh what Most computers don't have any port to put in the cord for a game console or controller, so we would have to change every computer to have that…

(#1656)I can't find it at the moment, but an ST member has said in a post that the team knows about this suggestion but is unsure how far along the process it is.Is there any good reason for the ST not to add it? It has specifically been not rejected by the ST.That doesn't answer my question.
Please link to anything that states the Scratch Team will add this extension.

This is definitely false, you can't even remember which one said this.(#1656)I can't find it at the moment, but an ST member has said in a post that the team knows about this suggestion but is unsure how far along the process it is.Is there any good reason for the ST not to add it?
