I would like to bring The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to Scratch, but I understand that I can't accomplish this alone. Therefore, I plan to seek assistance from the Scratch community. To do this, I will create specific roles and tasks for everyone to contribute. Please note that I will carefully review each applicant's profile to ensure their suitability for the project. If your application is accepted, I will notify you through this forum post, so please follow the topic. We may add a unique twist to it if members want, such as transformation, a new dimension or something else.

About the game: It will be inspired by the Zelda games (games before botw and totk) in the form that players visit temples, solve puzzles, collect cool items and defeat enemies. However, it WILL HAVE NO ZELDA REFERENCES, ZELDA ART OR NAMES. It will be a top down scrolling rpg in the form of A Link to the Past and A Link between worlds.

Available roles:

PROGRAMMERS:
Debuggers: People who have spent a long time on scratch and may have seen various glitches before. You will be responsible for debugging and finding glitches.
General: Self explanatory

Play testers: This is for people who aren't the greatest at scratch or don't want to commit to much, but want to help with the game. Your job is to not only test the games for bugs and glitches, but to advertise as well. You may contribute towards game ideas as well.

Music designer and SFX:
You will be creating the games music and other small sound effects.

Art and Animation
All sprites, background and animations used in the game.

In terms of ideas and game choices, everyone no matter the role is encouraged to participate, but of course not mandatory.

Can everyone please make sure they are following the studio and forum, thanks!

How would you guys feel about the idea of having transformations instead of items, to make it more unique? For example, instead of a hookshot, you could transform into a frog that can project its tongue out an grapple on to things. This could be somehow “absorbed” after defeating the mini boss, so if you killed the frog mini boss you would absorb the frog and be able to transform into it.

Very first project out, 1 and 2 to transform, space for sword when you get it.
