Not heard of it before. Over $300, expensive. The product page says “an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch” is included.

But — only the hardware is subject of the programming with the blocks. No stage, no sprites, no costumes, nothing to realize real animations of the built robot in combination with animations on the screen. Also no help texts for the blocks. Therefore I ask if there will be an extension for Scratch 3.0 in the near future in cooperation with the Lego Company, as it is done for We-Do, Boost and Mindstorm already.

Any updates about a new Scratch extension for SPIKE Prime? LEGO just announced that EV3 will be retiring. Browser-based programming without needing a login or software to install is pretty nice.

Hello
There is a valid motivation to NOT support Spike Prime with a Scratch3.0 extension?
What are the problems: technological? commercial? copyright?
wedo 2.0 owes its success to the extension with scratch.
Python is fine, but for non-English-speaking primary schools not used to coding, scratch 3.0 is fantastic.

It would be cool to see that support added into scratch, but so far Scratch can only control WeDo 2.0 Boost, and EV3.

There is a Lego’s program where you can program the spike prime with the scratch language supported by scratch (I think). I think that it is based in C++ instead of Java as scratch so it would be the reason of why it don’t appears on scratch 3.0.
