How to take an Order

I remember when I first used the forums, and when I joined my first shop I had no idea how to take an order. I wasn't sure if there was some kind of official system or what. The answer is: Well, it depends on the type of shop.

Some shops use google forms, some shops use the comment/reply section (most common), and some even use emails. It all depends on how the owner wants to do it, or how their computer will let them, or even just trying to stay organized.

So, If you are inexperienced with shops and have no idea to take an order, read the below. Although this article will only tell you how to use the comment/reply section.

So when someone orders something, make sure it is in your department of work. If it is not but it is something you know you can do, try applying for the job. If you already have three jobs, check with me.
To take the order press the button that says ‘Quote’ at the bottom of their reply/post. It will pull up the text bar and after the quote you want to write, “Taken!” or something similar.
Do/create the order and when you are done, remix it and post the link on their profile if it has to do with a project, and if it is art complete and upload it to a image-uploading site, then put the link to it on their profile. Once you have posted it on their profile then go back to the forum, quote the quote you did and say that you completed their order and it is on their profile. And if you want, ask for feedback.

Remember, if they have been rude to you you have every right to refuse. And if it is to complicated ask for someone else to take it or ask them to simplify it.

Sincerely,
NinjaCraft16

Hope this helped

How to take an Order

Nice post! There are few things that I feel could be edited though. First off, I think that this could use some BBCode to organize and clean it up. It looks hard to read when it consists only of regular text. Also, some parts are hard to understand. Especially here:

You have to take it step by step when writing a guide, and this here feels a little too rushed, so I believe it would be hard to understand in the mind of someone new to the Requests forums.

Lastly, I don't know if advertising your shop would be the best idea in a guide.

I think that with a little editing, this could make a nice little guide for those who are new to the Requests forum. I don't think it will get stickied as I don't think they are looking for any more guides to top the page, but maybe the link to this guide will be put into one of the existing stickied topics. Hope this helps!
