There's this midwest emo band I love called The Casper Fight Scene. Midwest emo combines emo, a genre that spawned off of the Washington DC hardcore punk scene that included more introspective lyrics and was pretty experimental for hardcore punk (it's a different genre than punk nowadays, but still), with indie rock and midwest emo.
