I think @iiucandyfloss has a valid point that hurricanes in Florida (and the abovementioned natural disasters elsewhere in the world) happen all the time.

That's the biggest issue I see - there are impactful natural events that happen around the globe continuously.

It wouldn't take much, just feature a studio that pays respects.

Yes, i don’t think this should be made in an awareness day. no offense to any floridians who was impacted, but this is just 1 occurrences of what may come next
just because one place is having it worse means we have to raise awareness for it over anything else. i’d reconsider talking if we had a general natural disaster awareness day, but making it specifically about people in florida dealing with helene and hilton doesn’y seem like a nice idea
