There are four types of ban: permanent ban, IP ban, temporary ban, and account deletion. How do you get out of a permanent ban, or an IP ban? How long does a temporary ban last? And why do the Scratch Team delete the account? What are the community guidelines? If you don’t know, why don’t read the community guidelines? You must appeal a permanent ban. IP bans must also be appealed, but less likely to be unblocked.

A temporary ban is for how ever long the ST wants it to be.

The Scratch Team deletes accounts in extreme cases, such as inappropriate usernames or trolls with no purpose.

Ehhh, it depends on the situation. If an innocent Scratcher has had their IP address blocked due to some other unrelated Scratcher, I imagine an appeal would be fairly easy.

What you're describing is called “false reporting”, and is usually rare.
When people claim false reporting, they're usually either lying in order to try to gain sympathy or confused on the real reason of the ban.

Right but this is a different kind of false reporting - this is just one person who said “Im reporting you”


No, you won’t get banned

Yeah, like previous posts have said, you won't get banned. ST manually checks those if you get reported many times, and then if you did nothing wrong, nothing will happen.

Heck. That kid was banned.

A banned account may last about days, weeks, months, years or permanently. However, an IP ban will occur when creating an account that has been used to break Scratch Community Guidelines repeatedly.

Then there is still sometimes a possibility to appeal. However, some bans may never be unblocked.
