What’s wrong with my ___? (Discussion for Game Consoles that need fixing)

So, I have a Wii and it’ll turn on when I plug it up, but when I switch to the input, it won’t work. The controllers won’t even sync to it. I haven’t used any mods like Homebrew, and I’m using an RCA to HDMI adapter, but I don’t think that’s the problem as I’ve used it without one and it hasn’t worked either. The blue lights on the side of the disc slot don’t work also. Does anyone know what’s wrong? This is my first time posting here, so I’m sorry if I do something wrong, but this is something I’ve loved and has been a key part of my childhood. (I think this section is for discussions, so if anyone else is having trouble with a console, that’s why I put the “___” so we can all help each other out.) Thanks.

Being that the Wii is over 15 years old, it's probably just degrading. I'd send it in for repairs or just buy a refurbished one.

Being that the Wii is over 15 years old, it's probably just degrading. I'd send it in for repairs or just buy a refurbished one.

So I fixed it. I was trying to hook it up to a newer tv, so it wasn’t working, but then I hooked it up to an older tv and it worked, and then I connected it back to my newer tv and it works now!

Yeah, typically you need an adapter to get pre-Wii U consoles to work on newer TVs even if they have an AV port.
