Hurricane Helene has been tearing through Florida, as well as Hilton soon to come. The damage could be catastrophic.

Can we do a special day honoring the Florida scratchers that are impacted?

No. He's asking if this is allowed. A suggestion would be to asking scratch to, but I think he means we as in a scratcher.

I think it is very nice to spread awareness about the issue, however:

1. This is a bit specific. The fact that it's specifically about Scratchers from Florida that are affected by the storm makes this a bit hard for other people to participate. Not everyone likes to listen to the news, and a vast number of Scratchers do not live in that area of land.
-> To make this more inclusive, maybe there could be a Special Awareness Day for Hurricane Survivors?

2. It wouldn't be fair to add this. If Scratch added this, there would be lots of Scratchers campaigning for Special Awareness Days for every storm and hurricane, and that isn't possible. In reality, extreme storms and hurricanes occur all the time, and more days would be Special Awareness than not! If this happened, then the Special Awareness Days would just lose their speciality and value, and people would slowly become irritated by the regularity of these Special days.

3. This is still a coding site for children. Children can endure negative news, I'm sure, but hearing about trauma, near-death occurrences, injuries, and death, first-hand, can be really frightening. I know myself that I would certainly feel uncomfortable about hearing someone's near-death experience.
-> To make this more suitable, people in the studio should be allowed to discuss their experience, but avoid discussing injuries, deaths, or other sensitive topics involved in a hurricane.

4. There should be at least a few positive aspects. Of course, there is nothing positive about a hurricane, but there should be some things that are less likely to upset someone, such as:
-> giving charity to help people impacted
-> the number of people who survived (estimate or exact number, it's nicer to hear about, say, 100,000 survivors than 1000 deceased citizens).

I recall when I was younger and I watched Kindly Keyin’s videos on Hello Neighbor, (namely Hide and Seek edition if I remember correctly) and I was absolutely scarred after the scene when the brother threw the sister off a ceiling by accident or whatever it was—Your given point is important to consider, and even if injuries/death are prohibited from being discussed, as children could still get scarred by hearing about it.

I am so sorry to hear that. A studio designed for discussing a negative experience is not quite suitable. And about the OP's idea of honouring the survivors or Scratchers impacted, I'm kind of confused. Why would you grant someone honour for surviving a hurricane? Respecting them for enduring that makes sense, but honouring them confuses me a bit.

I think so too. Mental scarring can last for a very long time.

it's Milton. Also even though it would be nice, it shouldn't be for just these specific hurricanes, when there have been so much more.

By the way, helene wasn't that strong compared to the now-approaching milton, so yeah I'm just here waiting. i'm not scared though

I think @iiucandyfloss has a valid point that hurricanes in Florida (and the abovementioned natural disasters elsewhere in the world) happen all the time.

That's the biggest issue I see - there are impactful natural events that happen around the globe continuously.
