Is there a way to activate/use the sensor distance of the lego boost with scratch?

I was wondering the same.

It would certainly be extremely helpful if the distance could be read using the existing already HW available. Just the distance reading would allow for a additional dimension in developing apps for kids. Please!!!!

I just installed scratch for Lego Boost and this was the first thing I looked for. I read on gitbuh that it was a deliberate design choice to exclude this functionality. Please can the developers review this decision and include distance, colour and tilt readouts?

I don't understand why such a simple function was decided not to be supported in Lego Boost extension?

Seems LEGO decided not to support this feature and abandoned LEGO BOOST product line by supporting less functions

I hope that maintainers of Scratch will accept this pull request, as change adding this feature is ready waiting for approval.

It does look akward about the distance sensor not working since it would be good for both Lego and scratch to have it available.

Anyway, thank you pawelmb for the solution. Do you have a way for beginners to implement it. I did not immediately found the way to have it available in scratch.

I build Lego Robots by lego bricks and robotics materials and code. Is it allowed or able to be used on Scratch?
