But there are barely any.

Signatures are the only place where assets links still work.

It probably wouldn't be super involved, but it's a little more involved than just swapping the links because Noto's naming format starts with a “u” and uses underscores instead of hyphens.

The cleanest solution would be to rename the emojis in the assets folder to match the Noto format, and update EmojiList.ts to match.

Yes, like the cloud emoji in scratch. The only way to make it stand out from other text is to copy the colored version! It's super annoying. I think you're mixing up U+FE0F with U+FE0E.

So, not all emojis have this black and white variant. There is a “BMP” List of emojis that have monochrome for compatibility. There is a nice list here: https://www.johndcook.com/emoji.html Weather an emoji is rendered with color or not is decided by the OS, so the only way to solve this is adding the color variant flag U+FE0F to all of the BPM charcters.
