Possible Prequels
#1 - Night (game) - A couple finds themselves stuck in the middle of the Night Rift.

#2 - Corporate (Scratch Novel) - Determined to change the lives of the many affected by the Endless Night, the couple created a tech company called Lumatech.

#3 - Lost (game with novel companion) - Lumatech's inside board has been corrupted with evil people, and the two prequel characters leave. Their child, the girl from the Rust Legends game, gets lost and must bruteforce her way home. (the gameplay would consist of a randomized map that the player must find their way home through.

Rust One

#1 - Rust - The Endless Night started 10 years ago, when a rift opened in the sky, and out came monsters of darkness that turn all humans near them to stone. Directly under the rift is where there are rumors of the location (nicknamed Ground Negative) of the Night Source, the fuel for all of these monsters. For years, a company (Lumatech) under a government contract has been researching a super robot to fight off the Endless Night. Their result: D-5675-c, a super soldier robot with endless capabilities. The company's last remaining factories start producing these robots, including Rust, serial number D-5675-d-017, codename: RU5T. The first 1000 robots that were made, including Rust, were meant to be leaders and included a togglable emotion chip. Rust, being a leader, leads a group on a series of 7 missions to clear areas filled with dark monsters, rebels, puzzles, minigames, and challenges. After each mission, Rust and his team will arrive at a safe zone, where they can train to gain higher stats and learn new attacks using add-ons. During the 7th mission, Rust finds a magic sword called the Emerald Silver. After the 7th mission that ends dangerously close to Ground Negative, Rust and his team head back to the robot army HQ. But before they can reach the next safe zone, a notice is sent to all robots on missions to immediately head to the safe zone closest to Ground Negative. The final attack has begun. The player controls Rust and his team as they cross the giant field leading up to a tower of darkness near Ground Negative. The Dark Tower is scaled by Rust and his team, along with hundreds of thousands of other robots, run up the tower. At the top is the Dark Source, guarded by a hooded figure named Dark Diamond. In a final battle, Rust, his team, and a few other teams that had survived the tower, attack Dark Diamond and their army of monsters. After all but Rust was defeated, Rust takes a final lunge at the Dark Source using Emerald Silver, eradicating it and all of it's creations, as well as the rift, but sending Rust flying thousands of miles away, never to be seen again.

#1 - Bronze - A shorter, smaller, and similar game to Rust that follows the adventures of Leaderbot 139, BR0NZ3.

#2 - Rust Legends 1 - As Rust is launched through the air, most of the effects from the Endless Night are reverted. Rust lands near a house of an unnamed teenage girl and her family. Her parents aren't home, so she goes outside to check what happened. Rust was badly damaged and most of his inner workings needed repair. The girl, happens to be a tech genius and checks to see what happened to the robot. She adds a new memory unit since the old one was unsalvageable (meaning that Rust has no memory of his past), turns on and reprograms Rust's memory chip so that he has the emotional maturity of a teenager, and paints him blue along with adding a few accessories (the hoodie, most notably). The game follows them messing around the city.

#2 - Bronze 2 - The game follows BR0NZ3 after the Night Source was destroyed.

#3 - Rust Legends 2: Bronze and Rust - Bronze meets Rust and the teenage girl after their previous adventures. This gameplay is similar to Rust Legends 1.

#4 - Rust Legends 3/Bronze 3 - Bronze's memory and orientation chips get broken and he goes on a confused adventure. Rust and the teen go and find Bronze in a slightly different twin game.

#5 - Rust Legends 4 - Rust, Bronze, and the teenage girl form a team of people to take down Lumatech after their bad business practices/true evil behind the company are exposed.

#6 - Rust 2 is still being written… It's about when the trio go on vacation to an island and a horde of fire monsters attack coming out of the volcano on the island

depressing, I know.
blame school
Ok sounds good.
I think we should only be focusing on rust 1 though.
Also, itll be kinda hard to code hundreds of bots on each mission, we should find an alternative where rust journeys alone.

Rust is a leaderbot, but his team doesn't show until the dark tower level.
Also, the hundreds of thousands of bots is just what happens, not what is portrayed in the game. This happens in a cutscene.

Also, you wanted to see the storyline…
And yes, I do plan on making all (or most) of this

I'm sure no one noticed but I've been asking around to build a little update board(mostly cause I have nothing to do) so if I ask a weird question to you be assured. IT'S FOR SCIENCE

and now a weird question: how is the engine for rust so far?

don't know what i'm doing

the base platformer engine is done, many of the mechanics haven't been implemented yet (probably because for many of them I don't know what they're gonna be)

I've been trying to work on it at home but school (and my addiction to youtube) have kinda stunted that and my team's unofficial version has surpassed the quality of my actual version

and now a weird question: how is the engine for rust so far?
the base platformer engine is done, many of the mechanics haven't been implemented yet (probably because for many of them I don't know what they're gonna be)
I've been trying to work on it at home but school (and my addiction to youtube) have kinda stunted that and my team's unofficial version has surpassed the quality of my actual version

sorry

also I'm really overapologetic online get used to it (sorry )
