What she would be guilty of is an interesting question, since Mia is alive, so she wouldn't be accused of that, meaning Phoenix wouldn't need to defend her (assuming he isn't an art student in this AU ofc)

The canon culprits are not guilty OR they were killed– as in, they were the victims.
So the roles could completely… Swap!
Mia would of never died, so Maya has been fine up until Reunion, and Turnabout when she supposedly murdered someone. But it doesn't make sense since the case–
