As for your question, I don't think there's a confirmed answer. I personally believe that Kristoph just wanted to use Klavier as a tool at the time, considering he was likely seeking revenge for Wright taking his client. I don't think he was looking out for his well-being at all.
Although, I'm not sure. It's not confirmed. Just me taking informed guesses.

I remember saying it wasn't canon here or somewhere else at some point, but either way. Apparently, yes, the opinion Edgeworth gives about marrying in the future, is indeed canon to his character.

Well, it was that or write another essay about how the Gavin brothers have the Birth Order Syndrome and Kristoph surpresses his emotions to an unhealthy extent and I really don't want to write about them AGAIN they have enough trauma without me adding more on for the sole purpose of psychoanalyzing them-
Also, I am sadistic as heck and went to a lot of trouble researching divorce and it's effects on children for a character I was making and I wasn't about to waste two pages of notes…

I need to upload a ton of images for the essay about the incomplete Turnabout Eeveelutions. I have a comic (With 3 parts) and a ton of character profiles, along with other drawings.
Yeah, I got issues…

If I write another “Why X Needs To Get Some Dang Therapy” essay, it's probably going to be about Miles, Apollo, or… Phoenix. I'm going to sound crazy saying the last, but honestly he could use a ton of therapy. The man has been through a lot.
Miles would probably be super straight to the point (considering he has confirmed PTSD, while not explicitly stated,) and Apollo's would probably be similar to Klavier's, but unlike Klavier, Apollo actually has people to go to.
Phoenix's points though… I've played through most of the main series (just not the last episode of SOJ along with it's DLC) and he's got some plot armor to even just be alive. It's that chaotic.
