Have USB controllers added to extensions
Okay, okay, calm down everyone. This is getting heated and it doesn't need to be. Sonic__fan, we can be excited if we want to be. I understand that you're trying to keep us from getting our hopes crushed, but remember that if we get excited and we get let down that it's not your fault. We are on this thread to share a dream, not to argue. So let's just stop and just get on with our plans, shall we?The way people keep getting excited about it speaks to the contrary. The Scratch Team looks at every suggestion (or, at least, tries to), especially ones on the front page. There's no reason to get excited just because a moderator looked at this topic.will be added. But right now, you all are acting like it's confirmed that it will be added. Hate to break it to you, but it's not.OK, none of us (or at least not me) think it's confirmed. The moderator activity evidenced by the moderator's snip excited people because now they know moderators do look at the topic. Which increases the chances of it getting confirmed. It's exciting, but we all know that we've never seen anything confirming it, otherwise there would be an explosion of shouting. No-one said anything. Please STOP. Hopefully, it
And I don't want you thinking it's confirmed and then get mad when a Scratch Team member said “we've never said we're gonna add this”.
Also, you're telling me to stop? You first.

*snip*Some guy busted into this thread and, while he was tryna make sure we didn't get disappointed if controller support wasn't added to Scratch, he kinda sparked a bit of an argument.
What is going on here?

Porta-Lolman is 100% correct, and so am I. You did start an argument, whether it was intentional or not.

And, if we do keep arguing, then the ST might close this thread.

It’s really not your fault, it’s just their opinions on the topic.
(Sorry if I did something to upset you or anyone else).

I agree. One person shouldn’t be flamed on or blamed for anything, but all of us.
(Back on topic now).

I'm pretty sure you submit a pull request on the Scratch GitHub repo. I don't know much about GitHub though, so I recommend talking to someone else who Anyways, maybe one of us could post a “Contact Us” ticket or maybe a Change.org petition? Idk those are just a few suggestions loldoes know about GitHub. Perhaps someone like GIitchInTheMatrix would know more about this.

For some reason when you mentioned the Wii Remote I was imagining coding on the Wii, where you point the pointer at a block and grab it and move it. I wonder how that would feel…

Huh, that'd be pretty cool. Not sure how easy it'd be to code with a Wiimote, but still seems cool. For some reason when you mentioned the Wii Remote I was imagining coding on the Wii, where you point the pointer at a block and grab it and move it. I wonder how that would feel…

Cool idea, but why not just connect a Wiimote to your computer or something? There's got to be something to let you do that already. Besides, Scratch on consoles is For some reason when you mentioned the Wii Remote I was imagining coding on the Wii, where you point the pointer at a block and grab it and move it. I wonder how that would feel… rejected.
2.7 Scratch for video game consolesAnd, Nintendo of America also are no longer able to physically distribute Wii video games in that region because some of its departments no longer had the ability to retrieve the necessary equipment to do so. (source: wikipedia)
The Scratch Team does not have the resources to put a Scratch editor onto a video game console. This includes making a Scratch editor for Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Xbox, and Playstation consoles.
However, the ability to connect gaming controllers to a computer or tablet to use for Scratch is NOT rejected. You can discuss it on this topic.
But if you're suggesting adding Wiimote functionality to PC, that's a whole different thing. That isn't rejected, as far as I know. Might feel a little clunky, but still fun.
