Maybe we could do a deviation from Unicode and make our own forumojis. I'll be doing some historical flags.
Update: I did up to to the pre-1901 Afghanistan flag, which is just plain black. The images will be released once comlpete

We don't do that - instead, you should check out Custumoji.
