As a person who does not know what that is and has a cringe username, I still don't understand.

The pineapple emoji stands for having a complicated relationship with someone, so it can technically be used for gossip or romantic convos but honestly it doesn't matter, most people don't know that definition

People are listing good reasons to include the emoji so I support, it actually seems useful

No one has mentioned that it might be a nice touch if you're going on vacation in a tropical setting, a pineapple emoji might go well with your message

Exactly. Pineapple is a weird choice amongst all the fruits, so if this were to be implemented, then there should be mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, lychees etc. emojis. They don’t feel necessary (neither do most of the emojis do) and they would have very little uses.

i would absolutely love a pinapple emoji, even though some people might think it's useless. also- how come there are only a few emojis you can use on scratch? i think you should be able to use all of them… (that is not a request, i am not suggesting that the scratch team should add every single emoji in the world.) i also think that the scratch team have done a great job creating scratch! although i haven't been using scratch for very long, i think it is already a great platform, even without the almighty pineapple emoji.

Wrong

You don't have to include all the fruits just because you included one, for instance, why is _apple_ an emoji if it's a fruit, and only apple? This “all or none” idea doesn't apply here

And if we're talking about weird emoji choices… Sushi? Binoculars? Barfing rainbows? Compass? ST has some strange choices, but at least pineapple has lots of uses
