PART 2

Character 1: Carmen
110/100 words
Carmen Sandiego is loyal and selfless to her team, wanting the best for them and putting herself in harm's way. She is always looking out for other people and is kind. Carmen doesn't like talking about her past too much and keeps a lot to herself when she can. However, she knows it's important to open up sometimes and make people feel better. She is a good listener and shares family struggles with mere strangers. Relationships aren't the best thing she's good at, not growing up with any parents or siblings. When it comes to a difficult situation, Carmen uses her quick wits to get herself out of harm's way.

Character 2: Gray
133/100 words
This laid-back young man named Graham Calloway has an easy-going air to him. He is compassionate and protective to those close to him and doesn't mind the regular teasing he gets from his friends. When is comes to a breakout between others, he's the one to break it up calmly. He is confident and focused most of the time, sometimes on the fence, but he knows when he makes the right decision. Graham pays attention to the technicalities. He has an Australian accent that makes him easy to like, even if you decide not to show it. He's usually the one in the background for the most part, but he's also the one who has a commanding voice that people listen to. Graham can have humor as well to lighten up a conversation.

Scene from Carmen's point of view:
434/300 words
“Remember. Leave no witnesses,” said El Topo. Gray turned up the power to full impact on his cracklerod, aiming it at the construction worker.
“Gray?! What do you mean, leave no witnesses?!” I cried. Bounding toward him, I knocked the cracklerod off its course, sending its blast into a wall. It went up in flames and I knew that would've been the worker.
“Go!” I sh outed to the worker. “Get away!” That seemed to get him out of his trace, and he ran.
“GRAY!” I tried to grab the electric rod from his grip, but he held on too tight for me. “WHAT'S GOING ON?” I yelled at him. He looked hesitant and stayed silent, trying to wrench the rod out of my hands.
“I'll handle the runt,” said a voice I knew was Tigress. She pounced toward me with h er razor-sharp claws. I hit her in the head with the only thing I had in hand: the cracklerod.
“Ooh,” said Gray. “Pussycat down.”
“She did not protect the face,” said Le Chevre from behind the broken wall that had set on fire.
I turned to gray, swinging the rod in front of him constantly, trying to catch him unawares. He didn't even try to fight back, only defending himself by walking backwards. “Gray, what is WRONG with you?!”
“Black Sheep- I- I can't-”
“TELL ME!” I cornered him a and pointed the rod at his chest. I knew I wouldn't fire it, no matter what. He looked at me, apologetic. “Gray? What are you- AH!” I stumbled backwards. Someone was pulling me back and I was too weak. My tilted head saw the Cleaners holding me. I was forced to give up my arms to them, and my legs were no help to Vlad and Boris's surprising strength. Kicking and wriggling, I tried with all my might to slip out. The operatives gathered around me.
“Gray-” I was cut off again, this time to a disgusting tasting cloth forced into my mouth. My words dissolved into gibberish. Chemicals in the cloth were making me feel weak by the second. Looking to Tigress, she has recovered and was looking smug. El Topo had a poker face on, holding the second Eye of Vishnu I had failed to save. Le Chevre had his nose stuck at me, head held high. I quickly looked to Gray, my eyesight groggy. He looked sorry - or was it happiness? No, it was sorrow. There were two Grays in my eyes, eyes crossed. My whole body slumped to the ground from the Cleaners.
“Mmph….” And I blacked out.

Scene from Gray's point of view:
403/300 words
“Remember. Leave no witnesses,” said El Topo.
I bit my lip, stalling myself from the action I was supposed to take. Instead, I slowly turned the knob on the cracklerod to full power, aiming it at the construction worker. Did I have to? No, I didn't. I could get caught and endure the punishment the VILE faculty had in store for me. A thousand voices echoed around my head telling me what to do. Then again, the operatives I was on a mission with were looking expectantly at me.
I braced myself and pressed the button to fire. Just as I was doing so, Black Sheep rammed into me, setting the launch of electricity off course. I looked at her, both grateful and frustrated..
“Black Sheep- what?” I said. “What are you doing?” She tugged on my cracklerod. What was going on?
“GRAY, WHAT'S GOING ON?”
I didn't have an answer for that. Keeping my hands steady on the cracklerod, I asked myself: what side was Black Sheep on? Wasn't she on VILE's? After all, she had spent her whole life there.
“I'll the handle the runt,” said Tigress. She ran toward us, claws outstretched.
Black Sheep's not a runt, I thought. I let go of the cracklerod and Black Sheep took it, just as I hoped. She swung it hard in the head at Tigress, knocking her down.
“Ooh. Pussycat down,” I said.
“She did not protect the face,” remarked Le Chevre. I shrugged at him just as a rod grasped my shoulder.
“Whoa-” I stepped back.
“GRAY!” she shouted at me. “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?”
“Black Sheep-” I wanted to tell her, I had to.
I couldn't.
“Black Sheep, I can't.”
“TELL ME!”
She cornered me into the same wall I set on fire. I looked at her, biting my lower lip again, only to see Boris and Vlad stalking behind her. I couldn't fight them all. Not right now. I stepped back and looked Black Sheep right into her eyes.
“Gray, what-” her voice muffled as the Cleaners stuffed a cloth smeared with chemicals into her mouth. She blinked dumbly, eyes rolling to the back of her head. We made eye contact one last time . . . before her body bowed into a heap. I was helpless, just looking at her unconscious like that. Regret filled my mind, discomfort radiating all around me. It was for her own safety, though.
Right?

PART 3
Choose three tropes from the workshop. Create a fanfic using those three tropes using a character(s) from a fandom.
274/700 words
Warm air and a gentle breeze were exactly what the pair of busy thieves needed. After more than a year of casing down V.I.L.E.'s evil plans, Carmen and Gray lacked leisure time.
“Nice evening,” commented Gray, gesturing to the now orange sky.
“Yeah,” smiled Carmen. “It's nice to finally see the views.” For once, Player wasn't speed-talking directions in her ear. Her comm-link earring was still in place, but more for looks this time. Zack and Ivy were still having chicken teriyaki at a fancy restaurant “growing their siblingship” as Ivy put it. Shadowsan walked way ahead of Carmen and Gray saying he'd rather not be seen with such “rebellious children,” which was just fine for them.
“It feels kind of odd not having a caper to crash,” said Carmen, looking around as if something would pop up for her. “Really quiet.”
“Eerie,” replied Gray. The usual band of monkeys that climbed the fences weren't there. Chatter in the trees were silenced this evening, replaced by a humidity that came in fast. “What's with the dampness?” he asked. Rain started to fall. “Ah, I see now.”
“We better get back to the hotel before it starts pouring,” said Carmen. Headed in the direction of the park exit on the far side, the pair heard a deep rumble that shook the ground.
“That's my kind of thing,” said Gray. “Just not when it's against us.” He grinned and broke into a run. “Race you to the lobby!”
“Oh, you are on,” said Carmen, jogging next to Gray.
Just years ago she'd been running in the rain on the night of her escape from VILE academy.

Unfinished Weekly :,)

*WARNING! INCLUDES SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST SERIES, THE PROPHECIES BEGIN.*

Character reference sheet for Firestar (series 1-7 in the book series Warriors)
Series continuing or ended?: Ended

Pronouns - he/him
Sexuality - Heterosexual, or having feelings for the opposite *
Species - Cat

Strengths - Loyal, brave, give his life for the clan, strong, a good leader, a strong believer in starclan, true to the warrior code
(former) strengths -Never will lose sight of starclan, easy to communicate with friends (It’s harder because he is leader.)

(DISCLAIMER!! Some of the weaknesses clash with the former weaknesses because Firestar got rid of almost all of his troubling thoughts, before the main characters shifted, and Firestar was no longer the main character, replaced by the next generation of the Warriors series, or the next generation of Thunderclan.)

Weaknesses - Troubled by his past of being a kittypet, troubled by taunting clanmates, saying his blood was not pure, weakened when his sight of starclan was blocked.
(former) weaknesses - Unsure of his purpose, troubled by Bluestar’s stage, as she lost sight of starclan, troubled by other cats thinking he was not a worthy clan cat, and was unable to forget Spottedleaf and look for what was next in life.

Relationships -
Romantic interest - Before Spottedleaf was slain by Shadowclan warrior Clawface, Firestar had a small crush on her. Later, when he became leader, he learnt Spottedleaf had loved him too. Then his attention shifted to Sandstorm, a cat who originally was one of Firestar’s tormentors.
Family - Princess, a kittypet who was his sister, and Cloudpelt, Princesses son, and Firestar’s niece
Friend - Graystripe, the cat he first met when he ventured into the forest. They grew closer and closer. He, as a leader, was always close to medicine cats, but Yellowfang and Cinderpelt he cared about most. He also has various friends in other clans.

1322 words from Scenario

SCENARIO -
Firestar exited his den. The moonlight was creeping down into the clearing. ‘Nothing will stop tonight's gathering,’ he thought. “Brightheart, fetch Graystripe, Dustpelt, Willowpelt, and Brackenfur, and Yellowfang and Cinderpelt, if they can come. You’ll be coming too. Tawnypaw, get Cloudpaw, Bramblepaw, Sorrelpaw, Thornpaw, and then don’t forget to come along too.”
“Yes Firestar!” she said, and ran off, her eyes glowing.
Brightheart let out a mrow of laughter. “Apprentices!” she said, before padding off to the warriors den. Soon, the patrol was assembled. He led the patrol through the forest, until they reached Fourtrees. With a flick of his tail, they plunged into the clearing. Leopardstar was there, along with Tallstar. “Shadowclan is late.” Graystripe murmured.
“They’ll come when they are ready,” he responded.
“Shadowclan is here!” someone yelled. Sure enough, more cats were piling into the gathering. A few moments later, a yowl sounded from the Great Rock. Firestar bunched his muscles and jumped up onto it. Tallstar stepped forward, a sign he would speak first. “All is well in Windclan. Starclan has brought us plentiful food with this newleaf!” He mentioned a new litter, before stepping back. Tigerstar stepped forward. “I will speak next. A Thunderclan scent has been scented on our territory! We demand an explanation.” Shocked yowls sounded from the clearing. Firestar rose to his paws, no sign of his anger except for his lashing tail. “No Thunderclan cats have put one paw print into your territory, Tigerstar.” he hissed, seething with fury.
“He was black, almost raven colored, kittypet.” he hissed, a glint in his eyes. Firestar cut back a gasp. “No one has been on Shadowclan territory except for Shadowclan cats!” he snapped. Tigerstar opened his mouth for a retort, when Tallstar stepped between them. “Enough! We must get on with the gathering! Firestar dipped his head in agreement. Tigerstar looked like he was going to say something, but decided to share the rest of his clan news. Leopardstar nodded to Firestar, a sign he would go next.
“We have two new apprentices, Ashpaw and Fernpaw.” He glanced down at them warmly. “They will grow to be strong warriors. All is well in Thunderclan, although we must solve this squabble.” he said, looking straight at Tigerstar. Yowls sounded from the Thunderclan cats, and a few from the Shadowclan. Leopardstar soon finished, and the gathering was over. Firestar gathered his cats, and soon they were back into familiar Thunderclan territory. Graystripe caught up to him. “I can’t believe what Tigerstar said! Raven… Does that mean what I think it means?” He nodded
“Tigerclaw has somehow found Ravenpaw, and is using it as a way to start a battle between us.”
==================================================================
It was dark outside when Firestar stepped. He thought about waking Graystripe, but decided he would go alone. He slowly padded across the deserted clearing, when two shadows approached him. “Thought you would go alone you stupid furball?” a familiar voice purred. “Sandstorm! And Graystripe! How’d you know?” he asked.
“Graystripe insisted on staying up. He knew you’d go.” she said.
“Then let's go.”

The forest was dark as they found their way to Windclan territory. They had all rolled in foxdung, not wanting to summon a squabble with Windclan as well. They carefully crept through the territory, wary, but knowing no cats would be out at this hour. They soon reached the tall grass surrounding the twoleg dens. Suddenly, he picked up another scent. ‘Cats!’ He motioned to Graystripe and Sandstorm, but they had already picked up the scent, and buried themselves into the grass. Firestar did the same. “We know you are there!” a voice rang out. A familiar voice… Firestar stood up.
“..Ravenpaw?” he asked. “And Barley?” he added, a little hopefully.
“Firestar!” Ravenpaw crowed, and ran out to touch noses with him. Sandstorm and Graystripe stood up, and greeted each other. Barley stepped out of the grass nervously.
“Firestar, Graystripe, and Sandstorm.” he said, nodding. “What brings you here?”
“We need to talk!”

Ravenpaw's eyes widened. “I.. I went to Shadowclan territory recently.” he admitted. “But I didn’t know he would see me! I didn’t encounter a single cat!”
“No one is blaming you. But I am curious.. What brought you to Shadowclan’s territory?”
He sighed. “I.. I wanted to see a cat I knew.” he said breathlessly. Firestar tilted his head. “I won’t ask who, but it was important to see her.. Correct?”
“Very! I… Y - you see.. There was a Shadowclan cat I met at gatherings. She always stood up for the right thing. I wanted to see… I wanted to see if..”
“I get it. But was it necessary to go to his territory? I could have figured it out in a gathering… I understand if you felt an urge to go.. You should have seen Graystripe when he wanted to check on his kits in Riverclan. It’s often for a good reason. Now then, what happened?” he asked.
“She… She had been killed.” Firestar was speechless. “I think Tigerstar framed her, saying she killed a warrior that she had loved and… Apparently that was punishable by death. She was a noble warrior, I know that. She didn’t deserve it.” He turned away, before glancing at the sky. “You have to go if you want to make it by dawn. I’ll keep a lookout for Tigerstar.” he said, standing up.
“Wait.. Ravenpaw? I know that if Tigerstar comes here, we won’t be able to help you. But maybe if you come back to Thunderclan for a few days, maybe you’ll be safer!”
Ravenpaw looked at him. “Well yes, I would love to.. But Barley..”
“He can come too!” Ravenpaw looked shocked.
“Well.. Okay!”

The clan was shocked to find the party coming in the next dawn. A few cats rushed up to greet Ravenpaw. Firestar jumped onto the Highrock, and called the summoning words. He told everyone about last night's events, and the threat to Ravenpaw and Barley. “From now on, Graystripe, extra patrols on Shadowclan territory. Try to increase the training for apprentices. Ravenpaw, Barley, if you wish, you can train too. I don’t want any cats getting too exhausted though.” he ordered, his gaze traveling over the cats. “Yes Firestar!” Graystripe said. Firestar nodded approvingly.
“I would like Fernpaw and Ashpaw to gather some bedding for Ravenpaw and Barley. Cloudtail, can you help them?” He nodded. “Then the clan is dismissed!” He jumped down from Highrock.
==================================================================
It had been 3 days since the new announcements. No sign of Shadowclan since. He decided to lead one of the patrols, and take a good sniff. No one had crossed the boundaries. “This isn’t like Shadowclan.. They would have attacked by now.” Dustpelt said. “Tigerstar is leading them now..” he reminded him. Brightheart let out a trumphiunt yowl. They rushed over to her. Feathers were scattered, with a faint Shadowclan scent on them. He growled, and whirled around to face the patrol. “Search the area! Report back if you find more prey. If you find a Shadowclan cat, try to avoid a fight, and come back. As they sped off in different directions, he scented the feathers, and discovered a small scent trail. He followed it. It led deep into Thunderclan territory. He started to run, but stopped soon after. The scent ended in a pile of foxdung. With a growl, he scented the air. ‘Nothing.. Except for…’ He heard someone crashing through the bushes. He tensed his muscles, and was surprised when Ashpaw crashed through the bushes.
“Tigerstar! Attacking camp! Cloudtail said reinforcements. Help! Chasing me!!”
“What?” he asked, when three shadowclan cats burst into the clearing, eyes gleaming. “Find the rest of the patrol!” he ordered, before jumping onto the back of the nearest cat. The battle was a blur, as he simply attacked whomever was not him. Eventually, they pinned him down, and raised a claw to slash him. He struggled but could not free himself. “Just like a kittypet!” one of them snarled. Firestar felt rage surge up, and he threw one of the cats holding his muzzle. He forced himself to his feet, drained of energy, and was relieved when Sandstorm and the rest of her patrol burst in. As they drove off the remaining cats, he turned and ran back to camp. He was the only one who would stand a chance against Tigerstar. He soon smelled blood and heard the hisses and shrieks of his cats. He ran in, and threw himself on one of the cats. With a few slashes, he drove them out. He repeated this treatment, ignoring the several injuries he had. The patrol soon came in, and surrounded the remaining cats. He saw Tigerstar in the midst of them, and yowled, “Tigerstar! I challenge you to a fight. If you win, your cats may go back. If I win, we’ll give them enough injuries that you all are squealing like kits!”
Yowls of support rose out from the crowd, while the shadowclan cats hissed and swatted at them. Tigerstar stepped out of the crowd. “I accept your challenge.” he flicked his tail at his clan, and they sheathed their claws. With a roar, he lunged at Firestar. He darted out of the way, and tried to grab his back, but Tigerstar was ready. He rolled forward, forcing him to lose his grip and go tumbling. He sprang to his feet, and lunged to the side of him, bringing his back claws into his front feet. They buckled, and Firetar gave him a long scar on his back. He turned, snarling, and paused, thinking. Firestar lunged at him, but he reared up and slashed him on the muzzle. His blood spattered the grass, and he blinked the blood from his eyes as he fell back awkwardly. An idea hit him. He pretended his leg was twisted, and tried to get up, falling back down. “Give up, kittypet?” he snarled, and lunged at Firestar, he dodged the blow, and slashed him on his throat. He collapsed, his body contorting, before going still. ‘He’s losing a life…’ he thought. He turned to the remaining cats. “As you can see, I have won!” He turned to the shadowclan cats. “Go! Your leader needs you.” He stepped back as they grabbed Tigerstar by the scruff, and dragged him away. “Make sure they go back.” he whispered in Sandstorms ear. She nodded, and padded after them, beckoning Graystripe and Dustpelt. Cinderpelt padded out of her den. “You’ve won a great victory, Firestar.” she meowed warmly. “Bluestar was right about you.”
“I know.” he turned to the setting sun, as the first stars twinkled into Silverpelt.

Part two - From the TV show Hilda.

Frida is strong-willed when it comes to justice. She hates unfairness, especially in situations where the kid is right and the adult isn’t, but they still think that she’s just being a nosy kid. She is a very neat and organized kid, and very smart. She is loyal to her friends, but will stand up for herself. She’s not afraid of standing up to anything, and is a witch-in-training. She refuses to give up even in difficult situations, but won’t refuse help if needed. She often needs to be confident to make her spells work. She tries to do her best, and uses what she’s best at to get out of difficult situations, instead of trying to use things she isn’t that good at.

David is a bit more scared of things, including the creatures from their adventures.. He’s a bit more paranoid of standing up to things, and sometimes feels ashamed of being scared of things Hilda and Frida could’ve easily done. His fear does sometimes give away, and he is as strong-willed as Frida sometimes. He’s shy when people say he is good at things, but has a tendency to somehow trip somewhere and do something wrong. (An example of this will be shown in the backstory.) He likes to sing, and is very good at it. It’s one of the things he gets shy about.

From Frida’s perspective (After the Tide Mouse was put on David.) -

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Frida remembered when she ran from her house, and David joined her. “Late? she had asked breathlessly.
“Yup!” he said, as he was running next to her. As they bursted into the school, they both ran to their lockers. She had quickly grabbed her books from it. “David, ready?” she asked, turning to him. She gasped and the books fell from her hand, as she stared at David’s eyes. ‘What’s happening? Is he okay?’ She thought, concerned. They had been blank! Pure white! David had shaken his head for a moment. “Sorry, what did you say?” he had asked, looking a little dazed. She picked up her books, with her gaze fixed on him. “Your eyes… Never mind. I was asking, are you ready?” she had said, still a little shaken. ‘I hope he’s okay.. I probably.. Hallucinated?’

The second time something strange happened was when she had stepped out of her stall, washing her hands. “You know David, I’m glad you decided to audition for the Warblers.” She had said. Then she stepped outside, waiting for David. She had hummed a little, and checked her watch. “David? We have to hurry.” she had
called. She heard a strange noise coming from inside, like a growling. She pushed open the door, and gasped. David was on all of his fours, growling like a wolf. She stepped back a little. “David!?” she had said frantically. “What - what,” she stuttered. David shook her head a little, and got up. “Sorry, I fell..” He sounded as confused as she was.
“Ok… We have to go, or we’ll be late.” she said, turning away and stepping out. ‘What is going on?’ she still didn’t know, but she was going to find out, for David’s sake.

“Come on David, we have to get a good book! You know how fast they run out!” she said, jogging a little down the halls to the library. She nearly ran past the door, but skidded to a stop. “Yes, we’re first!” she said, and ran in, choosing her favorite book. David grabbed one too, and they both sat on chairs, reading. She heard someone snoring, and looked up from her book. David had fallen asleep. The rest of the kids giggled, but the librarian shushed them, and they looked back into their books. She poked David. “David, wake up.” she whispered. He woke up, mumbling something, then continued to read. She looked again a few minutes later, and gasped. Steam was rising from David’s head! She scrambled back in her chair, not knowing what was happening. David groaned a little, and the steam ceased. She stared at him for a bit, before deciding to talk to Hilda. ‘I need to figure out what’s going on.’

From David’s perspective (after the Tide Mouse was put on him) -

David remembered skidding out of the door, and running outside. He had seen Frida there too. He believed she had seen all of the strange things that happened to him. His thoughts drifted to the first time these strange occurrences happened to him. It was at school, and he was running late. Frida had joined him as he ran to school. He had been feeling more confident in his audition for the Warblers, his nervousness slowly disappearing. As they ran into the school, he felt a little dizzy. He held onto the locker as he tried to grab his books. He fell to the ground, his vision going white. He shook his head, and his vision cleared. “Sorry, I fell..” he had said, confused. ‘Is something wrong with me?’ he had thought, panicked.

David recalled the second time something strange had happened. He had stepped out of the bathroom stall. He heard Frida waiting for him outside, and quickly rushed to wash his hands. His body contorted, and he fell to the ground. His eyesight blurred, and he heard himself growling. He heard Frida rush in, and gasp. He forced himself to his feet, and his eyesight cleared. “Um… Come on! Don’t want to be late!” he had said awkwardly. After school, he ran into his room, and pulled a pillow over his head. ‘What is happening to me?’ he thought, sad and hopeless.

David had been running to the library when another strange thing happened to him. Frida was next to him as they tried to make it there first. Luckily, they did. They then grabbed a book, and seated themselves comfortably on a chair, and began to read. He felt himself dozing off, and couldn’t help himself. He fell asleep. David woke up to Frida poking him. He continued to read, but his eyes went misty. He felt something rising from his head, and snapped out of the trance-like condition. He shook his head, clearing his eyes. ‘I need to know what’s happening…’

Part three (From Wings of Fire, years after the dragnet prophecy)
Fan Fictions-
Friends to lovers, OC (original character), and Soulmate AU

Celestial flew to Jade Mountain Academy. Excitement filtered into her nervousness. Ever since the nightwings moved to the rainforest, several have been getting powers. Thankfully, no one has been rebelling against Queen Glory, and they have lived together in peace. She didn’t have any siblings, and was going there alone, except for the rest of the dragonets in her tribe. She prayed she would find some friendly dragons. She swooped through the sky, the sun beating down on her back, but she ignored it. More dragonets were showing up. A few late nightwings, a lot of rain wings, several seawings (Queen Anemone was a fan of jade mountain academy, and obviously Queen Glory), a good amount of skywings, mudwings, and very few icewings. She fell back with the rest of the nightwings. She never really had any friends at home, maybe a couple vague acquaintances. As soon as it was in sight, she darted ahead of most of the dragons. One of the icewings followed her, and shoved her down, digging in one claw. She blundered in the air, but managed to get upright, and glared at the dragon. “I’m not letting a nightwing lead us.” he snarled, and the rest of the icewings darted ahead of her. “That’s not even what I was trying to do.” she muttered, wincing as she touched her new wound. The icewing had scratched her side. A shy rainwing came out of the crowd. “Meet me in the forest.” he murmured, and swooped down towards a stream. She followed as quickly as she could, landing awkwardly next to him. “What?” she asked, curious. He glanced around.
“Don’t you dare tell anyone about this.” he said, and pulled a cloth out of his pouch. He quickly touched the scratch with it, and then kept it back. “What’s that going to do?” she asked, glancing sideways at it. She was shocked. It was gone. “Where did you get that!? Is it animus magic?” she asked, curious and frightened. He sighed. “I didn’t get it, I made it. Yes, it’s animus magic.” She was taken aback, and stepped away. “Don’t tell anyone! Only Queen Glory knows.” He took off without another word. She followed him.
“What’s your name?” she asked, watching as a pale green showed on his tail, meaning stress.
“Kodak.” he said, before flying back to the rainwings. She joined the nightwings, a talon where her wound used to be, pretending to have trouble flying. She heard a nightwing murmuring about telling Queen Glory, but she said not to. “Maybe if it happens again.” she said, not wanting to show Queen Glory her wound that didn’t exist. Once she made sure they wouldn’t, she finally flew ahead, for the icewings had already gone in. She let out a breath. It was beautiful. She half walked, half flew through the hallways. A map had been provided for her, and she followed it into a cave where some dragonets were assembled. She joined them, as the dragonets stepped up. Sunny was leading Starflight with her tail, and she was surprised how different Sunny looked then most Sandwings. She was golden, with no barbed tail. She knew she should have expected this, but it still suprised her. Tsunami explained the rules and history of Jade Mountain Academy.

SWC July 2022 - Weekly #1

I finished the weekly! Here it is!

SWC Weekly July 2022

(My own story with my own characters)

One day Christine was walking to middle school and while she was putting her stuff in her locker, her best friend, Ava said, “Hey Christine!” I said “hello, what’s up?” back to her, and she sure did have some exciting news. She said that her birthday party is coming up the next day. Ava quickly invited Christine to her birthday party, then went to her classes. Christine was really excited for the next day. She then, waited for the next day to come.

Something even more exciting than the news she heard yesterday had arrived to Christine. The first thing that happened when Christine got to school was that she bumped into the cool girl, Brooklyn who said, “Oh hi Christine. I was just about to ask you this…would you like to come to my graduation party? You are in my class so I was just going to invite you…so anyway; do you think you can come?” I was nervous and didn’t know what to say. She said it was later today at the same time as Ava’s birthday party and I wouldn’t want to miss that. Brooklyn is the cool girl, and I didn’t want her to get annoyed with me so this is what I said: “Yeah sure! That would be great!” I kind of paused in between the first and second sentence and I don’t know why. So now I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I got invited by the cool girl to her own party. The bad news is that I should be going to Ava’s birthday party at the same time. I know that there is some type of magic in Brooklyn. I just know it.

When my teacher was teaching, I had a thought about what I said to Brooklyn. Now that I thought about it, I never should have told Brooklyn that I would go to her party. I am very stuck right now. I don’t know what to do. It is so tiring just thinking about this that I accidentally doze off during class. Zzzz……I suddenly get stunned by a loud noise that I heard while I was sleeping. ”Christine? Christine! Wake up, you can’t just doze off in class like that!!” said my teacher. That’s what it was. My teacher. Everyone started staring at me and it was honestly kind of embarrasing; but, I guess I just went with it. That’s how life was. It’s not a huge deal or anything, so I went back to listening to the teacher and writing math problems on my blank sheet of paper.

I am walking home, while thinking about who’s party I should go to. I think, and think some more, and in my mind I say to myself this: “I get to go to Ava’s birthday party every single year and it’s basically a once in a lifetime thing to go to Brooklyn’s graduation party. I am the same age as Brooklyn and I’m graduating too, so I think it is more necessary to go to Brooklyn’s party. It’s time to go, so I get myself packed up and my mom drives me to Brooklyn’s party (I didn’t tell her about Ava’s party).

Brooklyn greets me with a warm “hello” as I walk in through her fancy doorway. I start to have fun and get some snacks, but then I feel really bad when I remember that Ava must be standing at her house waiting for me to come. I start talking to a bunch of different people at the party, but still don’t seem to be enjoying myself. As my classmates walk by, they say “hi” or “hello” to me, and sometimes try to come up with a topic for a conversation. None of the topics really turn into a good conversation though. When I thought about this before, I thought it was a good idea to go to Brooklyn’s party, but at that point I wasn’t thinking about how sad Ava would feel if I didn’t come to her party. I think she would also be really confused why I wasn’t coming because the day before, I told her that I was free for the aftenoon today. I have a bad feeling that I chose the wrong choise this time. Why would I even do that!? I only cared about being cool just like Brooklyn. Brooklyn is the cool girl, but not one of those mean cool girls, you know? So I thought that it would be nice if me and Brooklyn could be friends. I mean, my Mom would let me because she isn’t mean. Even though I didn’t tell my parents that Brooklyn is the cool girl. I don’t think that my Mom would want me to be in the group of cool girls at all. Anyway, I’m getting a little bit off track now. Maybe it’s because I chose the wrong choice; or maybe it’s because I am stuck in life right now and I don’t know what to do. I will stay here for a little bit longer just to think about what I should do.

• * *

I have thought about making the right decision for 10 minutes straight. Plus, guess what?! I have been here, at Brooklyn’s huge, fancy house for 30 minutes (also known as half an hour). I don’t want anyone to hear this, so I am writing this down fast and quickly (I have no idea why I wrote down the words fast and quickly because they mean the same thing, lol). The thing I don’t want anyone to hear is that I have a plan. I am going to try and make the parties combine. So this is my plan that might work. After I explain this, I will call Ava on the phone and tell her if she wants to have her birthday in our middle school gym. Then I will ask Brooklyn if she wants her graduation party in the middle school gym too! I will ask them both if they want to combined the parties too.  I think I should ask Brooklyn if she can make magic disco lights in the gym too.

I greet Ava with a kind “hello” as I call her on my phone. “Hi Christine! Everything okay over there? You are late for my birthday party. What’s up?” Ava says. I sort of feel embarrased and unsure if I should ask her to move her party to the middle-school gym. I still ask her though, because I want her and Brooklyn’s parties to combine. “Hello, Ava! I’m great, I was just wondering if you would be okay to move your party to our middle school gym? Brooklyn invited me to her party, but you also invited me to your party. I can’t resist the chance of actually going to Brooklyn’s party, but then of course I care about you way more than her. So I was actually was thinking about asking you if Brooklyn and her party gang could come to the middle-school gym with us!” I say. I am not sure if she will get upset if I tell her that I am at Brooklyn’s party right now…what do you think? Should I tell her? I don’t want to lie, but then I might hurt Ava’s feelings.
“Of course! I just asked my Mom and she said I can switch the location of my birthday party. Feel free to ask Brooklyn and her gang to come to my birthday party too! I would really love that.” Ava agrees. “I’m at Brooklyn’s party right now. I’ll ask her if she would like to come to your birthday party and your birthday party can be shifted into a half birthday party and half graduation party. Sound good?” I ask. Ava and I agree with each other and sign off of the call. Now it’s time for part B of my plan. It’s time to ask Brooklyn instead of Ava like the first part of the plan. I hope this works out alright because I really don’t want to embarrass myself in front of Brooklyn. I can’t even imagine how that would work out. 

“Sooo, hi Brooklyn! I was just thinking about this..you know my best pal Ava? Well she has a birthday party starting right now. I really want to stay at your party here, but I also can’t let my best friend down. I asked Ava if she would be okay moving her birthday party to our middle school gym. She also said she would make you and your gang feel more than welcome to join her party. We can make the middle school be half graduation party and also halfly Ava’s birthday party! Do you think this can work out for you? Will your parents let you transfer the location of your graduation party?” Isn’t that a lot of stuff that I just said to Brooklyn?! What if she got bored? Maybe that is why she just yawned. Or maybe that’s just because she had a long day at school. Why do I have a feeling that I am over reacting. Anyway, I am just going to listen to Brooklyn’s response now soo yeah. “Uhh, yeah sure. I’ll go and ask my parents now. They are just right upstairs.” Brooklyn said calmly and sort of nervously too. That just makes me feel nervous as well as her, but I guess that’s still okay because she seems to feel happy and calm about transfering the location of her party! Now let’s just hope that her parents say yes.

“Hey Christine! I’m back. It looks like my Mom said I can go after 15 minutes of me begging her. She only said I could go because my Dad kept saying to my mom that he felt really bad for you, Christine and also Ava. I’m so reliefed that I could move my party place!” Brooklyn said excitedly to me after 15 minutes. I agree excitedly and then leave to get a little better and nicely dressed.

When I arrive at home, my mom asks me why I am home so early, and I tell l her about how I’m asking to switch the party locations to the same place. I, now, finally tell my mom that Ava also invited me to her party, not only Brooklyn. My mom is very surprised and I don’t know why, but for some reason I think she is really disappointed in me. I was disappointed in myself too until I figured out how to make this cool, interesting plan and stuff. “I’m super sorry that I didn’t tell you about Ava’s birthday party too, it was really wrong of me to do that.” I say, feeling sort of embarrased. “Well, that’s okay. Just make sure to do the right thing next time. I am just glad that your plan worked.” My mom replied kindly, as we hugged. She told me to quickly run back to my room and change into more “dressy” clothing. Just as she asked, I hurriedly ran to my room and changed into the “dressy” clothes.

“Do you need me to drive you there?” Mom asked warmly. “No, it’s okay. I will just walk there on my own.” I said. “Are you totally sure that you don’t want me to come with you?” She asked again. “Yep, I’m sure.” I replied. When I actually think about it, my Mom seems to have gotten more attached to me after that long hug that lasted for a while. “Anyway, I better get going now. Bye Mom! I love you!” I said trying to quickly sqeeze through the slightly opened door. “Bye, sweety, I love you too!” My mom said. She seemed to be rushed to say that since I was literally about to close the door. I wanted to reply but I didn’t LOL. Because then I have a feeling that she would keep talking and going on and on. Whatever I “quickly” said to my Mom was very true though, as you see I really do have to arrive at the double party very fast. That long hug must have lasted for a little teensy bit too long. I don’t know why, but the walk to the middle school gym is seeming to go on for forever. When will it even end. Right when I think I should start running faster to the school gym, then I see Brooklyn and Ava together, waving at me as they saw me coming. I quickly gave a little peek while running to Brooklyn and Ava and I was amazed. It looked like a whole disco party in there. They greeted me when I walked in, just like how I greeted Brooklyn when I walked into her first party. I thought they wouldn’t get along that great together, but they are turning out to be really good friends. I walked in with them and started partying with the rest of the people in the crowd, until I saw Ava and Brooklyn walking onto the stage (that they asked the principal to help them set up). Ava seemed to be starting with the microphone. I think she wanted to start talking to the audience or something so I kindly shushed some of the people around me.

“Welcome to our party.” Ava and Brooklyn said together at the same time. “I just wanted to thank our kindest friend for bringing us all together tonight. Drumroll please.. the besty that brought us together tonight is.. Christine!! Come on up to the stage, Christine and wave out to the crowd!” Ava exclaimed. I am really surprised. Why would they want to even state this out to the crowd? Did they really think that? Or did they just want to embarrass me? Either way, I am really proud of both of them. I hurriedly run up to the stage and wave at the crowd. The music turns back on a few minutes later and the party goes back to normal.

It looks like my idea was a good thing. Anyway, good thing I wrote this all down. Now I can remember these lovely moments of my childhood for the rest of my life!
