I made a shurgging occupation emoji (, (U+1F937) ), but I wonder if we should just do the shirt in white not to show gender

as in white for everyone, or just white for neutral? in most emoji sets the shirt does change colour to show gender but which colours they use varies a lot. the actual occupations usually have an outfit that doesn't change though. i put some white ones in the templates folder, even if we don't use them for gestures we can use them as shading templates for the occupation outfits.
with some variations for if they have a hat that makes their hair hard to tell apart (i used the male one for ).

someone brought up on GitHub that the GitHub and Scratch links weren't very accessible. there wasn't really any reason for them to be fake buttons in the first place though, and they don't relate to the selected emoji so i've moved them out of that section and into the header.
maybe the orange should be darker, to contrast more with the white.
(edit) turns out white text on any shade of orange fails badly, so i changed the links to be black on white (originally i just made them look like that when you hovered over them)
i wrapped all the emoji tiles in buttons so you can tab through the list too, but it's really slow so should we have arrow keys to navigate too? i think someone mentioned that once before.

Shouldn't we just add tabindex to all of the buttons? tabindex=“0” lets the browser decide on the order. someone brought up on GitHub that the GitHub and Scratch links weren't very accessible. there wasn't really any reason for them to be fake buttons in the first place though, and they don't relate to the selected emoji so i've moved them out of that section and into the header.

EDIT: I thought you meant slow as in performance, but I still changed the JS to give the images tabindexes.
EDIT 2: Wait, why not even more keybinds? Aside from the arrow keys, maybe if you press ctrl+c when you're focusing on an emoji, it copies the emoji link?

which buttons? putting tabindex=“0” on the buttons in the emoji list doesn't change anything that i can see, and this suggests that we shouldn't just use tabindex to make the images behave like buttons.Shouldn't we just add tabindex to all of the buttons? tabindex=“0” lets the browser decide on what to add there. someone brought up on GitHub that the GitHub and Scratch links weren't very accessible. there wasn't really any reason for them to be fake buttons in the first place though, and they don't relate to the selected emoji so i've moved them out of that section and into the header.

I meant images. I get that, but it's the same as wrapping it in buttons; there's no further description there. I pushed the new change; you can see it behaves exactly the same as buttons. ~snip~

I'm not too good with the hands, but this is an OK try at the emoji.

they're not very distinctive, but maybe that's just what happens when you cram four people into one emoji. could they be better?

(#927)I'm probably a little bit biased (I made the current alien monster emoji), but I personally prefer how the current one fills the whole space. The green one seems rather tiny.I agree with the alien monster. But let alien be what it is now. anyone else think looks more like a forum emoji than ? same with and
I could try to add some shading— perhaps that'd fit in a little better?
