It's a Chromebook built-in feature; and it's not even the correct keys. You press ctrl+shift+u. Other than that, you explained it flawlessly.

Ah, confused CTRL+U with the built in underline shortcut in the forums. Ctrl+Shift+U also seems to be working on firefox.

Pick the color from the emoji. If the color hasn't been used before (or it isn't close enough), you can pick a new one.

If it doesn't have unicode keywords, I think it will break on the website.
