Can we avoid the faces in the people/occupation emojis? It would be really ugly if we did, and its easier to not.
no faces is a good idea.

Anyway, I made a occupation template - !

the white shirt can be changed to other colors indicating gender. As of whatsapp emojis, Purple and cyan. They do not point consistently as the swap depending which part of the “people” section you are directing to.
the colours are fine, but don't just copy what WhatsApp does because (especially for gestures and sports, which are most of the ones where the colour means something) it can't be bothered with gender neutral emojis and just copies one of the gendered ones at random. here are some examples, the ones with blue tops are the ones where they actually designed a neutral version.

I made teacher emojis!
Woman + school (female teacher)
Man + school (male teacher)
Person + school (neuter)
i made some more templates where the hair is in Forumoji style, with an outline:
person
man
man with moustache (some emoji sets use this for the ones with a hat covering their hair)
woman
woman with thicker hair (again, might be more distinctive when they have hats on, or we could just always use this one)

Apple and Twitter also use the ones with orangey-yellow hair, but Samsung and Google use dark brown. i don't really mind which one we use.

We need someone to make the emojis in Unicode 14.0 (Hand heart, pergnant man, ogre, etc.)
I bet that would look very interesting.

some have been made already (dotted line face, face holding back tears). whether an emoji is made really just depends on if someone wants to make it.

So, orange for neutral gender?

We already have a few - , , , , and (#668) stickfiregames started working on hands heart.
The problem with pregnant man and ogre is we're still just trying to make people, just the normal kind. Once we figure those out, we might start trying to make other things, like ogre.

I'm sorry if this seems somewhat picky, but the confetti emoji () which I use a lot is kind of hard to see its details. I don't know if you take suggestions, but it would be nice if someone could improve on it.

Thanks for the wonderful emojis! I really have to start using them more often.

Here's a version without the confetti to make it easier for whoever's designing it.

should we try to finish all the faces first before moving onto people/other emojis? i know the making of emojis isn't really that organized, but maybe we could go for a specific goal?

no because what if someone needs a certain emoji for a forum post and that emoji isn't in the current goal, people should be able to make emojis freely

also @lolecksdeehaha has done a lot more of the faces, but they're not on the website yet since they were just one big image

(edit) i started saving them as individual images, but even after that, a lot of them conflict with ones we already have and some of them were designed by other people, so it's not that easy to add them.

I actually remade it before you said that, because I saw the same thing! I still have to reupload it, though.

Nice! Do you mind posting it here so I could see it?
