oh cool. I can start grinding emojis again without worrying. No, using assets is fine now, since it can be copied using the website. It's just a matter of uploading it to GitHub.Assets is used because its easy and nono word Must all emojis be hosted on cubeupload, or can they hosted on assets?
But implementing into the database needs to be cube because it can be copied without a problem
So it strictly needs to be converted before it is yeeted into the database

for some reason I wasn't getting notifs
I improved the README.md with updated information (and help on where to put what).
Also, I made a new magnet emoji! I actually made this a while before @mybearworld made theirs, but I forgot to upload it. I'll just include myself as an additional author.
- Magnet
I also changed some rules in the CSS file to make the emojis' pixels not warped when you viewed them (it originally wasn't a multiple of 15)
So yeah, some style improvements.

Mini Lesson On Unicode!
Unicode is the thing that allows computers to send words and characters. For example, the letter A. This letter is represented as U+0041 in Unicode. Unicode exists because computers don't always represent characters the same way using binary; using Hexadecimal, computers know which character it is; before this, sending data to other computers in Japan would often result in Mojibake! (BTW, Hex is a number format that goes from 0 - 9, and then A - F.)
Emojis are a section of Unicode and are displayed and handled differently by computers.
Final Fun Fact:
Some emojis are made of multiple characters! For example, for the ‘thumbs up’ emoji, you can put a skin tone modifier after it to change the color of the hand. This results in us painfully having to make a bunch of variations of the same emoji!!

the list we're using doesn't have skin tones, but sort of related to that, how are we going to do the ones with specific genders/ages/hair types? our emojis don't have hair at all so far, and their faces just aren't that detailed to do the small changes that the sample images have. do we add those details when the sample images have them, or do we just stick all those emojis in the hidden-emoji file (currently it just has a few really obviously not-safe-for-Scratch ones in it)? just to be annoying, the dancer emoji doesn't have a neutral version at all. Some emojis are made of multiple characters! For example, for the ‘thumbs up’ emoji, you can put a skin tone modifier after it to change the color of the hand. This results in us painfully having to make a bunch of variations of the same emoji!!
(edit) actually there's no reason why they should all be the same style as the forum default ones, the official list has a lot of difference in style between “face” and “person” emojis
anyway… since most of the person-role emojis have clothes to show what they're meant to be and there isn't enough space for them on our template, i made some smaller templates:
15px (what we have)
13px
11px
9px
and U+1F920 Cowboy Hat Face, because the squished hat we have at the moment is what made me do all those in the first place.
we should probably put something in the style guide or come up with a better template before we make loads of person emojis though.

[request]Can we avoid the faces in the people/occupation emojis? It would be really ugly if we did, and its easier to not.[/request] anyway… since most of the person-role emojis have clothes to show what they're meant to be and there isn't enough space for them on our template, i made some smaller templates:

Anyway, I made a occupation template - !
the white shirt can be changed to other colors indicating gender. As of whatsapp emojis, Purple and cyan. They do not point consistently as the swap depending which part of the “people” section you are directing to.
I made teacher emojis!
Woman + school (female teacher)
Man + school (male teacher)
Person + school (neuter)
Edit: forgot to color them, now okay.
