Have USB controllers added to extensions
No. Scratch for consoles is rejected. Even if it wasn't, the DS, DSi, and even the 3DS/N3DS are all far too weak to run Scratch 3. P.S. I hope the scratch team accepts this and implements it soon! (i wonder if it'll work on ds's cause i have a ds)

I support this idea it would be really cool to have xbox or usb support added to scratch, but as in scratch being a programming language to beginners like so it would have to be limited to scratchers like how they did it with cloud variables
when green flag clicked
say [I support this idea] for (2) secs
think [Time to disappear and never talk about this topic again]

Is the MakeyMakey limited to new scratchers? No. Why should this be? @CZSuperBoy
I don't mean scratch ON the DS, I mean plugging my DS INTO the computer to use as a controller.

Oh, I see. You can do that using a hacked 3DS, but your mileage will vary. The DS and DSi? No, unfortunately. @CZSuperBoy

Is adding a “controller to keyboard” button to Scratch part of this suggestion? (Like the one in a popular extension)

But what would it look like for using Nintendo Switch joycons? How would they connect?

Using a third-party solution like xJoy or Betterjoy or something. Joy-cons aren't really designed to connect to the PC, so that wouldn't really be ST's concern. But what would it look like for using Nintendo Switch joycons? How would they connect?

There should be Xbox and PlayStation controller extensions, like
when green flag clicked
forever
if <key [a or x v] pressed?> then
repeat (10)
change y by (jump)
end
repeat (10)
change y by (0 - jump)
end
end
end

No. This will likely be as generic as possible, to avoid confusion. It will likely follow the standard Xbox button layout and scheming. To see what button maps to what, there could be an internal joypad tester/mapper, or you could use a third-party tool. There should be Xbox and PlayStation controller extensions, likewhen green flag clicked
forever

Support, I guess it would be useful for some games
But what if your controller was connected via Bluetooth? Would you have to have more software to run it (USB/Bluetooth), like how you do with micro:bit or LEGO Mindstorms?
