Although I'd recommend no one else submit (since the deadline has passed), maybe it's time to start discussing how the contest will be resolved. Should we do a popular vote with everyone in this topic able to vote on the designs?

How many designs are there? I have a history of overcomplicating things with voting systems but we could possibly use approval voting, voting where people are allowed to choose whatever designs they're fine with and don't have to rank them or choose only one.

I don't mean to be rude when I say this, but are you even in the USS? I feel like you're not, since I can't find any quick connections (i.e. shops), but I'd allow you to vote.

I've been maintaining a post that has links to peoples' submissions. At the moment, four people have submitted stuff, to varying degrees. This banner contest is a bit complicated in the sense that I/we asked for multiple banners. 2: Activity Check for April 2021
Our previous activity check was sort of delayed twice. Our Secretary started it late but I picked it up and restarted it towards the middle of the month. This caused our activity check schedule to spill over to nearly the end of March. With activity checks originally intended to begin at the start of each month, what I'm asking here is when should we hold the next one?

I brought this up previously, and suggested the following schedule: April 14-21, May 1-7. This allows us to transition back to our normal schedule without skipping a month, but maybe there's a better approach.

I'm not trying to be picky, but I likely chose Latin to mimic how some formal organizations have Latin mottos. If we were to have a motto in another language that isn't Latin, what language would it be? Why should it be that language?

You should already be included! My proposed rules for voting is anyone in this thread can vote.
Technically speaking, all shop owners and employees, as well as head staff can vote. I'm also allowing misaPuding to vote since they do not fit in any of those categories, yet contribute to the USS.

Continuing on from this post, I have a few more proposals for people to weigh in on:

3: Banner Contest Voting
For this contest, as stated previously, any of the following may vote: head staff, shop owners, shop employees, and any other people who actively post in our thread. misaPuding qualifies under the last category. The vote can/should be held soon. With there only being a handful of people posting here recently, should it just be a 48-hour period? Or should it be longer?

As for the actual “election”/voting contest itself, I respectfully suggest that we focus on kccuber and I's submissions, since they are the most complete. Two other people submitted designs, but they are not complete and only consist of one banner each. With there only being two main options, I suggest we just vote for one portfolio of designs, rather than doing an approval method as MClovers suggested.

How does everyone feel about this? Perhaps more importantly, how do you feel about these terms, kccuber? TLDR:

• Anyone in this thread (or owns/works for a shop) may vote.
  
• Simple pick-one vote.
  
• Possibly a short voting period; instead of a week, just 48 hours since we don't have many active people in this thread.
  
• Emphasize or only allow people to choose the two complete submissions.

4: Color Standard for USS
Over the past few months, while serving as current President of the USS, I've been authoring posts that include reasonably-bright colors (namely orange and blue, to reflect the site's theme.) This suggestion is a minor albeit prominent one; maybe we can set a color standard for USS? As in, we pick specific hex values that should be used for USS-related posts on the forums.

Here's an example:

#e6c81e
#ffaa00, #00bedb

Compared to simple BBCode colors:

gold
orange, cornflower blue

Edit 2: Or maybe we should use the second set… Hmm…
