a forum that anyone could post on and only the scratch team and the person who made the topic could reply to you could also choose if you wanted only you and the scratch team to see it or everyone

Couldn't you just use Contact Us

Also, I'm not sure where you live but you actually can get an email at 13 in America.

That'd probably get misused a lot and be filled with spammy questions that anyone could answer, not just the Scratch team.

You can technically get an email at any age,


I think for people who don't have/can't use email or don't want to, this would be good.

I use my mom`s email and I'm not allowed to go on there. Support! I can't use contact us! And I need help sometimes.

You can't report something you can't see, which are topics marked to be only seen by the Scratch Team (which needs to be a setting, otherwise this whole thing is pointless!)

What makes you think this is going to be any faster?

No support.
Just use Questions about Scratch. Most people will back up their evidence with ST quotes if you ask.
If it's something that shouldn't be public, then it shouldn't be publicly posted there, or in a new forum. Just use Contact Us. If that's too slow, why do you think a new forum where the ST would not get email notifications be any faster?

What if someone made a topic to report something and then made it public, that would be an easy way to name and shame

This. Not everybody has the life experience to know when something is off topic and where to post, and this will include the proposed new forum.

I know it's hard sometimes because the forums are very busy. However, the Scratch Team is very busy too and we should not add to their workload.

I'm a volunteer admin on another site and I absolutely hate it when people send me PMs with questions that the community could answer easily, and sometimes even better than I could.

I live in the USA and got a email when I was 6

This would easily become spammed. Why would new scratchers want to use QaS when they have a direct hotline to the ST?

No support, you would've needed an email to activate the account.

Instead of this, there could be a “Get Help” forum.
