We only vote on Executive Bills, such as establishing programs or stuff like that. The House of Representatives votes on everything else that directly affects them. Please ask questions before making assumptions.

Hello everyone! The Diamond Union Executive Chamber has passed the Diamond Code. This Code includes all passed laws and directives from the Diamond Union, and also has new provisions providing more opportunities for the Diamond Union to stay active. A website will be introduced in the coming days to comply with Scratch Team (ST) regulations. I should have the website ST approved and running by October 23rd.

Also, in accordance with the code (which again, shall be public very quickly) and the general powers given to me by MClovers and the Diamond Union, I hereby enact the following order:

DIRECTOR ORDER 1 — EMERGENCY ELECTIONS

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
(a) This may be cited as the “Emergency Gubernatorial Elections Order.”

SECTION 2. FINDINGS
(a) Whereas—
(i) The Governor Elective Office Act of September 2020 established an elective position of Governor, representing the people;
(ii) This office has not been filled for over a month;
(iii) This is a disgrace and ought to be fixed immediately; so therefore
(iv) This order is enacted.

SECTION 3. PROVISIONS
(a) REQUIREMENT.—The office of Governor, notwithstanding the Diamond Code, shall be declared vacant and elections shall be held immediately.
(b) SCHEDULE.—The Gubernatorial elections established in subsection (a) shall go as follows, all in American Eastern Time—
(i) Candidacy declarements and general campaigning open upon passage of this order;
(ii) Candidacy declarements close on 11:59 PM, October 21st;
(iii) Campaigning ends on 11:59 PM, October 23rd;
(iv) Voting opens on October 24th at a respectable time; and
(v) Voting closes on October 26th at a respectable time.
(a) WINNER.—The winner, as chosen through ranked-choice-voting, shall be sworn in within twenty-four hours of their declarement of winning. They may remain in the House of Representatives if they were in it.

SECTION 4. ENACTMENT
(a) This order shall go into effect immediately.
(b) If either of the Co-Owners repeals this order, all sections, subsections, and paragraphs shall have no effect.
