Hello all Strawberry Shop members.

I intend to resign as president of the Strawberry Shop. The reason for my resignation is that I've been really busy so I have to cut back on my scratch activities and this isn't really something I can devote a lot of time to. This shop has gone inactive recently and needs a president who can bring it back. I am not active enough to do so.

I loved being the president of this shop and I know that whoever the next president is, will do a great job. To decide who the next president is, there will be a leadership election.

Any shop member can be a candidate in the leadership election. If you would like to be a candidate, please leave a comment here saying so. I will organise the election. This is the timeline for the election:

17th July - 24th July: Time to declare yourself as a candidate
25th July - 30th July: Candidates write speeches
31st July - 6th August: Voting
7th August: Result announced
8th August - 15th August: Transition
16th August: Launch of new thread and closure of this thread

I would just like to clarify that I will remain as a member of this shop after the election, just not as president. I will also continue on as president until my successor is elected.

I would love to become a candidate I am loyal and I can take care of this shop! After all I love this shop and all of the people in it! If I am not chosen I fully understand but this is my lifelong dream! Thank you for all that you have done for this shop! I love this shop and the people in it!

It will be up to the new president to decide to BoD. They can change around all the positions if they like. Hopefully though, they will keep most people in their positions. I suggest that when the new president is elected, you should tell them why you were a good PRO and VP and that you'd like to keep your position. Also, you will retain these positions until a new president is appointed.
