Typing @, then a username, in a comment creates a link to that person's profile. It's quite handy.

I was wondering why this was rejected but it makes sense. Maybe the times have changed and this feature might get added lol. But I feel like this kind of suggestion could get changed to something like, “You've been quoted on the forums!” or something. Of course I doubt you would respond to this since your probably long gone, but idk… I would also make a topic suggesting this but I'm almost positive that my tweaked idea would be a duplicate.

(I know someone will come on and call this necroposting… but I wouldn't consider it to be since I'm trying to add something valuable to the conversation… maybe we could continue a discussion about this on here?)

It would be a duplicate. Also Lightnin has been active less than a two days ago.

Ooh, I didn't know getting a message from people mentioning you was actually thought about but then rejected! That's new information to me. However, it does look like this was necroposted, unfortunately; and despite adding lots to the conversation, it's not a really relevant subject at this point in time.
