Scratch 3.0 USB/Bluetooth Controller Support?
Is it possible that controllers that can connect through USB/Bluetooth (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller) be used in Scratch 3.0 via a custom extension? It seems possible since it runs on HTML5, and I believe it'll open up a ton of possibilities. Imagine the more elaborate control schemes in games allowing more options. Let me know what you think!

If bluetooth was added to scratch it could open up more opportunities for games!
The makey makey is cool but has as much function as a primitive move project.
If we were to put controller support games could be more fun and interactive
The blocks for bluetooth would need to have booleans instead of the

4 of the current extensions already use Bluetooth. There is a Bluetooth symbol for it. I think what matters is what you're connecting to.

yes but it would be great if scratch had support for better controllers and access to configurations such as
JOY(L) -x
but in a boolean

Is a good extension! My idea is: If you add USB/Bluetooth to your project, the project needs to detect your controller, and when detects it the project will say: (PS2 Controller Detected) (Xbox Controller Detected) (Nintendo Switch Controller Detected)

when [ v] key pressed
Currently, the hat blocks in 3.0 extensions don't work.
Edit: Well, they exist, it just lacks documentation on how to use it properly…

AnAlgorithm here!
Can you try the micro:bit or a scratch extension? If that is possible, you can automatically know that bluetooth is on. Then maybe use the micro:bit with another device?

i reccomend antimicro, which is a windows and linux software. it is simple to use, you press a button or move an axis on the controller and it asks what you want to map it to.

scratch should just make their own bluetooth controller. it could be light-blue and orange and everything!
