Preliminary Inspection (9/10)
Clearly, the first thing that anyone is going to see before entering a shop is the title. The title is excellent, featuring various symbols to add interest. The only thing I’d say is that it might be worth using a fancy font to make the title even more interesting. The second thing is going to be the banner. The banner is of amazing quality, an excellent sign, and is made by a staff member at the shop, adding to the credibility of the shop. Excellent job so far!

The section headings are a nice touch, as is the directory. It might be worth experimenting with making the directory more interesting, though, using BBCode, fancy fonts, symbols, and image-based links. The “About” section is a nice touch, providing information about the shop. The only thing I’d say is that I recommend you consider advertising that it’s been around for four years on the front page, rather than it being hidden in the “About” section. The rest of the front page could also use a bit of jazzing up, but great job so far!

I had a quick scroll through the rest of the shop’s pages and determined that they were generally helpful and grammatically correct, though they could use a bit of jazzing up as mentioned above. But great job!

Overall, this shop is well-formatted and informative, as well as grammatically correct, with an amazing banner and a well-decorated title. The only thing I’d recommend is jazzing up the front page a bit more.

Service (9/10)
My order was taken within 2 minutes, and completed within just over half an hour, which was amazing service! All I could say is that it might be nice to have a bit more to the “completed” comment, like saying “thanks for ordering”, but amazing job!

Product (8/10)
The product was to my rather broad specifications, though it would have been nice to see a bit more added. The particular user said they had problems uploading the banner to Cubeupload, so they had to upload it in a project. However, since it was because of technical problems, I’m inclined to say that won’t take away any points from the shop. Great job!

Overall (9/10)
Overall, The Emerald Shop is an shop of exceptional quality with an excellent layout and extremely fast service, and good services on offer. However, I believe that the quality of the order may have reflected more on the worker who took it than the shop as a whole. Amazing job!

I'm a cohost of Scratch Writing Camp, running it with Alba, Birdi, Bakie, and Honey.

I love coding, maths (especially simultaneous equations and the quadratic formula!!!), art and writing (and also spreadsheets and responsibilities-)! I used to know 157 digits of pi, but I can only get to around 110 at the moment. I also love Minecraft :]

Important Announcement For Customers

Since I have recently started high school, my life is a lot more hectic, especially since I am doing a program where I skip a year of schooling. It is difficult for me to deal with large amounts of orders, especially since I do rather long and detailed reviews, particularly in the Preliminary Inspection / formatting category. So, I've decided that until I have completed the majority of the orders I am still working on, I am going to close orders.

It will probably not always be like this - recently I've had multiple assignments at once, though it beginning to cool off. For the future, I will also consider if I need any assistance with continuing this shop, so keep your eye out as I may open an application process, though I'd likely only accept 1-2 people.

Note: This will NOT affect shops currently participating in the monthly review program, and you will still receive your monthly review as per normal.

And thankyou to all customers for ordering and showing interest in the shop - I'm really surprised and thankful for how popular this shop is becoming! Have a nice day, wherever you're reading this, and I'll probably open up orders again in 1-2 weeks. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

As I mentioned in my previous announcement, since I have started high school I am a lot busier and don’t have as much time for reviewing. After some thought, I have decided that I might need assistance to continue running my shop. I am honestly so surprised at how popular this shop has been, since I only thought it’d be a nice project in the backburner while I did other things on Scratch.

Anyway, this is the part you’ve all be waiting for: I’ll be hiring 1-3 Scratchers to work at Cat’s Shop Review Shop. One of these Scratchers will hold the position of “Head Reviewer” which does not give any extra power other than to manage the shop in my absence.

You can find the hiring form in the new “Hiring” section, and hiring is only open for 2 weeks – until the 20/06/20 in my time zone – or until I reach 20 applications, whatever happens first. Also note that I will not count any applications which do not meet the hiring requirements outlined in the “Hiring” section.

Apologies to any customers, your review may be delayed while I go through applications. So sorry!

Resume: As an experienced request forumer, I have lots of experience in shops. I have many and worked in many, and I enjoy helping other small shops thrive.

The first shop I ran was a review shop in early 2018.
(link). After running that, I applied for SRS, the first and biggest Shop Review Shop of its time. XCat and I were the only two accepted out of many applicants. (link). Although I haven't done formal reviewing for quite a while at this point, I give banner feedback intensively at banner bootcamp, which proved to be very helpful in improving skills. I also helped run a shop bootcamp, which I gave feedback for also.

I have worked as a reviewer before, and example links are here and here. So sorry that they are so old, and also about my inability to close colour tags…
