Sounds good.SUGGESTIONNice idea! Ask @jbrow78 as well! I also have a suggestion.
What If we allow customers to make ShopBux through advertising for us in their signatures? They could get 5 ShopBux/week or something.
SUGGESTIONI think we should re-do the website. I figured out a way to make websites way more professional and the current is basic HTML and CSS.

The suggestion about advertising us sounds good, but giving out 5 ShopBux a week to lots of people just worsens inflation. Also, another 2 suggestions:
Suggestion
There should be a tax on most transactions. Obviously, in cases such as the Frost Shop Fund, no transaction tax should have to be payed. In my opinion, the tax system should be as follows (numbers might be different but still):
Suggestion #2
We should support external charities instead of using money from tax etc. which should be being using to reduce inflation by being sent to the main bank. Full idea in quotes.
Again, I won’t be offended if these don’t get used, but I think they would be beneficial to ShopBux. Also, is it SSB or SHB?
Suggestion
There should be a tax on most transactions. Obviously, in cases such as the Frost Shop Fund, no transaction tax should have to be payed. In my opinion, the tax system should be as follows (numbers might be different but still):
Customer tax - weeklyI won’t be offended if this doesn’t get used but I think it would help to reduce inflation.
0-50 SSB: No tax
51-75 SSB: 2.5% tax
76-100 SSB: 5% tax
101+ SSB: 7.5% tax
Shop tax (weekly)
0-100 SSB: No tax
101-200 SSB: 2.5% tax
201-250 SSB: 5% tax
251+ SSB: 10% tax
Transaction tax (including paying workers)
1-75 SSB: 5% tax
76+ SSB: 10% tax
Also, to prevent avoidance of the transaction tax, if there are multiple transactions to and from the same people then they could be counted as one transaction.
And alt account balances could also be treated as part of the main account’s balance when taxing.
Also tax money should just go to the bank and the bank can provide realistic donations to shops who need the charity money. Most money for shops in need should come from compassionate members or external charities (suggestion will be below this one)
Suggestion #2
We should support external charities instead of using money from tax etc. which should be being using to reduce inflation by being sent to the main bank. Full idea in quotes.
- If someone wants to support shops when in need, they should be a able to make a new thread with a name like ‘Acoolcreativename Fund - a ShopBux-powered charity’.
- When there is something happening like The Frost Shop flame war, the charity can use a majority/all of their funds to support that shop.
- People could make charities for any reasonable purpose such as Shop recovery, shop renovation/revival, small shops and similar things.
- It must be clear what the SSB are being used for.
- Workers for charities etc. shouldn’t be able to be payed using donated money and only currency from the owner’s pocket.
- The charities must have forms to allow for people to either donate a specific amount weekly/monthly or send one-off donations.
- If suggestion 1 gets implemented then transaction tax shouldn’t apply in things to do with charities
- People should have to get a founder or governer’s approval before making a currency
- Breaking these rules should result in a fine.
Again, I won’t be offended if these don’t get used, but I think they would be beneficial to ShopBux. Also, is it SSB or SHB?

Sugestion two makes a lot of sense. (Wanna join us in the marketing department? We could use you. Like, me and jbrow are both better at code than marketing, I think.)

1. Our current tax system is fine. Inflation doesn't even really matter as there have only been 2 recorded Shop transactions in history. The suggestion about advertising us sounds good, but giving out 5 ShopBux a week to lots of people just worsens inflation. Also, another 2 suggestions:

Thanks. I just filled out the form. Sugestion two makes a lot of sense. (Wanna join us in the marketing department? We could use you. Like, me and jbrow are both better at code than marketing, I think.)
1. Imo if shopbux become worth 20x less it’s kinda important. Obviously it’ll happen over the long term but fixing the cause is better than adjusting to it in this scenario. 1. Our current tax system is fine. Inflation doesn't even really matter as there have only been 2 recorded Shop transactions in history.
2. I'm not sure.
2. I mean, more involvement by the community = less work for you and less inflation.
I’ll make a poll on both, note they’re not official and even if people vote for them it’s all up to Alpha as to what happens and whether the results of the polls are used.

1. True. We could lower the tax amount, what I provided was a rough number. A majority of people have 50 SSB (the starting amount) so they won’t have to pay tax and if you have more than that then you have an income source so you can afford 1-3 SSB a week in tax. Anything higher and you’re almost certainly still able to easily pay tax. 1. People don't really like too much tax
2. idk
2. I mean, why not? I enjoy making interesting new things in the forums, and I’m sure many others do too. People on scratch are very nice, as we demonstrated which the huge donations to The Frost Shop. To me it seems like a no-brainer to combine the two.
Edit: forgot to say in the other post, but the transaction tax would also be an income tax.

Also, I think conversations like this are good for shopbux. While they are debates, they are calm and productive.
