Hello there, fellow scratcher! I'm NYCDOT, and I'm running to be Scratch ShopBux's governor. Why should I be governor, you ask? Well, let's take a look at what a good governor should be able to do and I will tell you how I would fulfill that.

You will help out in debates.
I will do my best to “simmer down” the debates. For example, when AFN got fired, I had some ideas in my head, but I didn't post them
since I knew they wouldn't take effect. If I was governor, I believe it would've settled down the tensions.

You will monitor the actions of SSB Employees.
I already own a shop, The Scratch Century Shop and I monitor the actions of every employee to make sure they're doing things right,
and I also help monitor the edits on the Scratch Wiki, which definitely makes me experienced. I will also make sure that every employee
of SSB will follow all laws and (more importantly) follow the Community Guidelines.

You will understand when your term is up.
Well, this one's a no-brainer. Of course I will give my position to the next elected governor! If you don't, that's just being unethical.

You will be a leader.
Again, a no-brainer. When administrator actions are needed, I will make actions that benefit SSB as a whole.

In conclusion, that's why you should vote me, NYCDOT for Scratch ShopBux governor. Vote to make ShopBux greater as one. Vote NYCDOT this July.

No offense, but that's not really how ‘democratic-republican’ voting works. Democratic republican is an old political party (it was called republican, but democratic was put on ther because the country was a democracy). A democratic republic is what the US is, and it uses a really complicated system for voting. Basically, um, people from each state vote for, say, the president. Each state gets a certain number of electors, which is based on how many people it has in senate and stuff, which pretty much evens out to the size of the state. The electors usually vote with the popular vote of the state. The overall vote is basically a vote with all of the electors. In reality, it's quite a bit more complicated than that, but this is basically it. That doesn't seem very feasible with ShopBux. Anyways, your system of two popular votes would probably work than the voting system of democratic republics.
