Please @ceebee, @paddle2see, @speakvisually or whoever in the Scratch Team is viewing this, please bring back the ability to select sound (like in scratch 2.0). Here’s how it would function:

1. There will be a button saying “select” with a little icon

2. When you click it, there will be two bars (similar to the “trim” feature but inverted)

3. When you are done selecting the sound you want to delete, click “save” and it will delete the selected area (however you can undo it)

Note: I AM aware that ST is bringing back the feature to select sound

The Scratch Team is already working on making the sound thing more like 2.0. Just give it time.

If you want that feature now, just download the Scratch 2.0 offline editor.

Don't worry, they're working on it. They probably have other priorities and things to do before fixing the sound editor, but eventually it will be fixed.

Like other scratchers have said, the ST is working on bringing those features back, so just wait a little bit and the sound editor will be just the way you want it
