What are Labor Vouchers?
Unlike traditional currencies, you cannot get Labor Vouchers in exchange for follows/favorites/etc. You can only get Labor Vouchers by making things. Things made under Labor Vouchers are worth how long they took to make.

So, if you take X hours/minutes to make something, you get X hours/minutes worth of Labor Vouchers for making it, and it's worth X hours/minutes of Labor Vouchers. For example, if you take 3 hours to make a signature, you get 3 hours of Labor Vouchers, and the signature is worth 3 hours of Labor Vouchers.

Paying is slightly different under the Labor Vouchers system. When you pay in Labor Vouchers for something, the value is deducted from your account and not transferred. If you were to pay for the signature in the previous example, 3 hours of Labor Vouchers would be deducted from your account and not transferred.

Cool. Why and how should my shop use LVs?
LVs are the best currency for Scratchers that don’t care about how many followers/favorites their account has. LVs are also the fairest currency on Scratch since they have a direct exchange rate with how much effort a commodity takes to produce.
Accounts can only be opened for individual Scratchers, not shops. To open an account fill out this form:

Username:
Name of shop you work for:
Type of commodity produced: (PFPs, signatures, etc)

Every transaction should be recorded on this topic in the following format:

Seller:
Buyer:
Product:
LV value of product (how long it took you to make it):
Date transaction made:

That’s it. Have fun with your individual ownership of the means of production!

This feels incredibly easy to be exploited and inflated because you have no way of verifying if the content maker is telling the truth. Also, what can it be used for if it cannot be transacted?

it can be used for acquisition of commodities though in a manner that wouldn't count as a “transaction” per se (read example in first post). also we rely on the honor system for content creators; they should know that they are responsible for making sure LVs don't get inflated. of course if someone is found guilty of this their LV account will be revoked.

everything made under the LV system costs the amount of time that it took to make. when you buy something using LVs, the amount is deducted from your account and not transfered.
