I'm not a character designer, but here's a little bit they might be able to work with, if that's ok:
Ximena - F - 16 - She goes to high school - Ximena is “popular” and is self confident - Her sister Ginny died in a fire when she was 8 (Ximena was 11) - Ginny's voice/memory, along with memories of the fire come back to haunt her dreams every night - Every night, Ginny repeats the same words: “The Shutdown is still in the air. Kill it off, or you'll really start to care.” - Ximena is unsettled/shaken because she believes in ghosts.
