Welcome to the official thread for School for Paws! School for Paws is going to be a new Scratch animation (hopefully) posting its first episodes in January.

The series will be based around Poppy, one of the many dogs living on the fictional island of Canisle (Canine = Dog. Canine + Island = Canisle.) On Canisle, dogs first go to university and then school. Poppy has just completed university and is now moving on to school, and School for Paws will document her adventures there.

Poppy
Poppy is a friendly dog who has a creative personality. She has a brother, Fudge, and a sister, Cream. Her favourite subject is English.
Caramel
Caramel is a nerdy dog who is always in the mood for a maths test and is Poppy's best friend. She has a brother called Calico and her favourite subject is Maths.
Calico
Calico is quite the opposite of Caramel - he's a sporty dog who's very competitive! His favourite subject is P.E.
Cream
Cream is a sporty but also creative dog who is the slightly older sister of Poppy. She may seem like she likes to boss other dogs around but is really kind and caring on the inside! Her favourite subject is art.
Snowdrop
Snowdrop is a girly fashonista dog who's always up to the latest trend! Her favourite subject is art, just like her BFF Cream.
Fudge
Fudge is a gentle dog who is Poppy's brother. He is obsessed with chocolate and his favourite subject is English, like Poppy.
Ace (1)
Ace is a friendly and outgoing dog who loves kawaii! Her favourite subject is art, and has a slightly younger brother also called Ace.
Ace (2)
Ace (not to be confused with Ace ) is a very musically talented dog! His best friend is Calico and his favourite subject is music.
Rosie
Rosie is another fashionista who is BFFs with Ace (1). She is quite quirky and loves every subject.
Apricot
Apricot is a kind and gentle dog who is rather sporty. He is the slightly younger brother of Snowdrop and his favourite subject is P.E.

Writers
Writers write episodes for the series. Before writing, any episode ideas must be shown to @redglitter, who may appoint co-writers. Writers have to write both a script and an outline of what happens in each scene, to pass on to the animators. Writers must attach at least one example of a script and outline of an episode with their application, preferably relating to the series.
Animators
Animators help out with the animation. They follow an outline set by the writer(s) of the episode they are animating so that they know exactly what to put in the scene. All animators much attach an animation of one of the sprites featured in this to application doing these three things: (not at the same time) Walking, Waving, and Picking an Object Up.
Directors
Directors co-direct episodes with @redglitter. They approve things to go into the final episode, and can also write scripts. A director will be promoted from a writer if their work is very good.
Voice Actors
Voice Actors voice act for the series. To apply, voice actors must attach a sample of their voice and their 1st, 2nd and 3rd preferences for characters. (Note: Voice Actors may not get their desired position.)
Artists
Artists draw backgrounds, object, and background characters for the series. To apply, they must attach to their application a picture containing one main character featured in this project, a background and an object.
Musicians
Musicians create music for the series. They are responsible for creating music for the theme tune and scenes that need it. Musicians must attach an example of their music to their application.
Marketers
Marketers advertise the series and try to get the word out. To apply to be a marketer, you do not need to attach any examples of your work.

Examples: Dont have any examples of voice actor but i will give you it next week when i am not super busy. an example of writing. Its the scratch record and I have written a small fiction section and various articles. If you look through mamamia you might find a writing piece. Idrk.
Reason for Job Preference: Well I like to write and I have written scripts before for school and I think I have a creative mind. I also want to be a voice actor as I can do alot of different types of voices and when you see my examples that are comming soon you will see that. I also did musical theatre so I think I will be a suitable canidate for a voice actor
