It's for comparison purposes. Comparing what Wolf is thinking to what I'm thinking and seeing which plays better.

Bitmap is superior to vector for all cases. A 8x8 pixel black bitmap square fits in 143 bytes, whereas the SAME SQUARE, except drawn in vector (not converted from bitmap to vector) takes 415.

I have 1 attack on the demo fight for my battle system concept complete. The attack is a memorization-based sword attack that comes from above, either swinging along the side or stabbing straight down. It warns you beforehand with flashing arrows as to where the swords are going to be facing. It is hard, but not impossible to dodge. If you can move downward at the beginning of a swing a little you can evade every swing, until you hit the lower edge of the bounding box.

I'm considering it being able to attack based upon different directions (so the ‘stabs’ could be from the left, meaning you'd have to avoid swings swinging down and up, or from the right, or from below). However, this would mean that it could generate an undodgeable attack (although probably not, with how I've got the math set up)

Not really, it matters what function, Vector scales better. And an 8x8 pixel black bitmap is only 143 bytes if it is in COLOR MODE! An actual black bitmap in monochrome mode is only 94 bytes! And it isn't a fair comparison because bitmaps have COMPRESSION, but vector does not. Also, vector isn't even measured in pixels, rather the distance between each point. I suggest you read a wikipedia article about it.
