  Proposal A: Lawyers in the USS
  
• In the USS, we have a legal system whereby we have a selection of Justices who preside over cases where people represent themselves. Although this seems correct, did you know the only court in the US Justice System that uses this system is Animal Court, AKA Kitty court? Although I have nothing against Animal Court, I do think that it’s not a good system., because it singles out individuals for their legal ability.
  So I would like to propose a new system. We appoint 25 lawyers to choose from, and when a shop wishes to oppose the USS or vice versa. Lawyers can accept or decline to represent this person (henceforth known as THE CLIENT). If they choose to represent this client and the other side has chosen a lawyer, then the case begins.
  The case will begin at a time scheduled in UTC by all the participants, including the justice. Hearings are a pre-agreed length of time. Only three hearings may be scheduled, at least 12 hours apart (this is identical to the old policy). If hearings run out, a mistrial is declared and a new case scheduled. Two mistrials give an automatic win to the defence. A case started because of a previous mistrial must be treated like any other, except it has one mistrial appended to it. A new justice can be appointed for a mistrial case.
  This system is based on the US Legal System so far as I can discern from John Grisham’s Theodore Boone series.
  
  Proposal B: Proposal Sharing Policies
  
• Although this sounds meta (and sort of is), think about it. The recent post made by Austintino detailing the new USS Governmental system was super long, and clogged up that page of USS proceedings. With my new proposal in place, the USS will never have posts like that again.
  My proposal is: Instead of posting proposals, new laws, etc, type them up in a word processor, (Word, LibreOffice, Pages, whatever) upload them to your cloud storage service (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc). Then, make them shareable by link and link the proposal on the USS thread. In this way, we avoid long winded posts and still allow people to share their thoughts for as long as they want. I am in fact demonstrating this proposal with this document.
