Actually,1024 for all of them, not 1000.
Those are for gibibytes, tebibytes and mebibytes. They are different measures from gigabytes, terabytes, and megabytes.
Nope. He's right. It's just approximated as 1000 by many OSes to hide the space taken by the OS itself and to simplify math for less educated people.

No support, I didn't even know that this existed since 50 MB is plenty to work with. In my cookie clicker project for example, you can see that there are lots of large, repeating scripts and it doesn't get to the limit. You could likely be more effective with you're coding if you really need more things.

Exactly. I mean look at @griffpatch's projects, they're absolutely beautiful, dare I say the best projects on scratch, and he doesn't pass the limit.

I want to add more music in Traffic Run, but it said “Sorry! Adding the media asset would put this project over the size limit by 2111 KB. Please remove some costumes, backdrops, or sounds before adding any additional media” I don't like the size limit. We should improve Scratch by increasing the limit to 5 TB (terabytes). If the size limit increased, I'll add new music!
5TB!? That is wayyyy to big. I think 100MB at most is whats possible.

Scripts take up barely any space, it's images and sounds that are the problem. It would take thousands of scripts to get to the size limit (millions possibly, I haven't ran the math just estimated).

I see the point in it being raised (it's very annoying), but not removed. Before you know it, scratch will be down a lot more for server upgrades. I support for being removed in offline editor, however it should not be shared to the website if over the limit

1 GB should work, maybe?

As we get closer to 20,000,000 projects it would be a real big problem if people could make projects that large, the server has a limit after all.

Support so that ALL SCRATCHERS get 65MB
Say that you increase it to 75MB for Scratchers only

1. Griffpatch creates 3d minecraft.
2. Its a huge success
3. Loads of new scratchers remix it
Either
1.LOADS of space being used

OR

2. New scratchers can't remix

Nah, that's still huge. I'm sticking with 100MB.

For who are suggesting GBs, what happens with all who are using mobile broadband?
I support that @Sigton suggest.

That disobeys to the CC licenses that Scratch has, and possibly would result in revoking that. That would mean content on Scratch would be in danger, then.

Mobile broadband, as in cellular data?

I didn't think of this subject, but as HTML-friendly Scratch 3.0 is coming, that should be an issue. :O

I support for a higher limit (ie. 100mb). There are times when a larger project size is needed, and for those who dispute this, try and understand that not everyone makes a 100mb project.

Why? When you share it to the website it will have to cut the extra data off somehow.
Who said anything about sharing it to the website?

And also, it would take hours to load. The limit would have to be around-about 100 megabytes.

The updated max of 2gb is still a lot. Most professional games are around 1-2gb. And again, this would take hours to load.

Not GTA V, Skyrim, red dead rebemption, any modern open world game really, call of duty advanced warfare, Sonic lost world Wii U, mario kart 8, LoL,Overwatch eve final fantasty 7 ( game that came out for the orginal playstation in 1997 is bigger than that. Not trying to be rude and I did reduce the size as I agree that maybye it was a bit much. But with that said almost all major games in the past few years are bigger than 1-2GB.
