We are going to start with loops. You can take any arrangement of notes and make them into a song. As long as you loop it and make sure the listener identifies it as the melody, it IS a melody. What makes it a GOOD song, is if you add percussion and chords, which we will talk about later. Don't be afraid to use message broadcasts, they may help you a lot.

play note (35) for (0.5) beats

play note (60) for (0.5) beats

Play around with how many beats you play each note. Depending on what the mood is, is how low you want to make your song. Upbeat and annoying songs may have high notes. Sad and even creepy songs tend to have low notes. Neutral songs tend to fall in the middle at middle C.
