i fell she is supposed to be quite young, and if you want her to seem older, just shrink the eyeballs a bit on her sprite. remember that it is a concept and not the actual sprite we are going to use in the game.

3. The professor gives you the other starter fakemon data for your pokedex
4. Later (past the first gym) the professor allows you to choose bulbasaur, squirtle or charmander.

How about they let you choose totodile, chickorita, or cyndaquil? The bottom line is that the kanto starters have been done.
